90 Day Fiance: Akinyi Obala Enjoying Married Life with Benjamin Taylor
Akinyi Obala made her reality television debut in season 3 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. She welcomed her American lover, Benjamin Taylor, to Kenya. Benjamin knew that she was the one for him.
But, he had to get her family’s approval first, and he had to pay for her dowry. However, he didn’t have the funds her father was asking for.

However, in the end, Benjamin Taylor gave what he could and was able to get Akinyi’s family to accept their marriage. So, last year, the TLC celeb brought his now-wife to America on a fiancé visa. They tied the knot and have been living together since.
Akinyi Obala enjoys her life as a married woman in America. However, the 90 Day Fiance reality star’s start in a new country wasn’t what she thought it would be. She found herself in the hospital after dealing with stomach pains. She believed that she wasn’t used to the food she was eating in the states. But that doesn’t seem to be a problem anymore.
Akinyi Shares Plan to Change Smile
Akinyi Obala recently revealed that she would be making a drastic change to her smile. As a kid, she had always dreamt of the day when she could fix her tooth gap. And, now, that dream is coming true. But, unlike other TLC cast members, she isn’t getting a dental procedure done.
Akinyi isn’t going the traditional route of getting braces or veneers. Many 90 Day Fiance cast members have veneers. But, she is using clear aligners to achieve a straighter smile. These plastic aligners are used to make adjustments to your teeth without wearing dental braces.
Akinyi can’t wait to start her journey of fixing her tooth gap. She is also happy to be sharing it with fans. She wants to give updates and show the changes her teeth go through over the months. However, it is going to be a long process for her.
Fans React to 90 Day Fiance Celeb’s Announcement
Many fans don’t agree with Akinyi Obala changing her smile. One person feels that she looks good with a tooth gap. Another person believes that it is what makes her “different and beautiful.” They question why would she want to lose her “uniqueness?”
However, it wasn’t an easy decision for the 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days castmate to make. Akinyi says that she “went back and forth about closing it.” She also feels that “it’s time for a different change.” So, she’s going ahead with it.
But, could this only be the start of what’s to come for Akinyi. Many TLC castmates have undergone full-body transformations. So, it wouldn’t be a surprise if she plans to make more changes to her look.
