90 Day Fiance star Akinyi Obala has developed trust issues since moving to America. She may be living in a new country, but she is sticking to her old ways. And some things in the US are just uncomfortable for her so she’s sticking to what she knows.

Akinyi Obala made her reality television debut on TLC’s 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. During season three of the spin-off, she welcomed Benjamin Talyor to Kenya. They knew that marriage was in their future. So, Benjamin met up with Akinyi’s family to get their blessing for their relationship. But, her father wasn’t happy with Benjamin’s “bride price” offer. However, Benjamin eventually offered to pay more money at a later date. So, he and Akinyi were able to tie the knot before he went back to America.

The 90 Day Fiance reality duo were eventually reunited in the U.S. Akinyi Obala was happy to be with Benjamin Taylor. However, she had one request. She told Benjamin that she didn’t want to be intimate with him until after their wedding day in America. Benjamin was caught off guard. But, in the end, they did get their happily ever after and had a beautiful wedding.

The TLC couple may be newlyweds, but they seem to be still dealing with an intimacy issue. According to Akinyi Obala, she and Benjamin Taylor can’t kiss when she is wearing makeup. When they try to show each other some love, Akinyi’s makeup ends up getting all over his face. Yet, they aren’t letting a little makeup disaster get in the way of them being affectionate to each other.

Akinyi Feels Blessed

Akinyi Obala has been living in America for a while now. The 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days cast member dealt with a lot of changes. Her new life is a lot different than how she lived in Kenya. Not only is she now a married woman, but she is also a stepmother. Marrying Benjamin Taylor meant that Akinyi would be a parent to a stepson. Benjamin has a son named Graysen from a previous relationship.

Akinyi Obala from 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days feels “blessed” to have Graysen in her life. She thought that it would be difficult to build a relationship with him. She didn’t know if they would ever be close. However, Akinyi said that he is very loving and kind towards her. She explained that it “has been nothing but a blessing.” She had fallen in love with “two strangers,” and she “wouldn’t have it any other way.”

According to Akinyi Obala, Graysen is very fun and smart. She is never bored when he is around. Akinyi also thinks that he has a lot of energy. At times, it’s hard for Akinyi to keep up with him, and it reminds her that she’s “getting old.”

90 Day Fiance Celeb Doesn’t Trust Machines

Akinyi Obala may be enjoying her new life in the States, but there is one thing about the country she is having a hard time getting used to — all the machines. The TLC star explained that she always washes her underwear by hand every time she takes a shower or goes to the bathroom. Since coming to the states, Akinyi has learned about washing machines. However, she doesn’t trust them.

She says she would rather clean her underwear with her hands than put them in the washing machine. She even likes to hang them in the shower to dry. The Before the 90 Days cast member feels that she is starting to have trust issues with machines here. Akinyi Obala also doesn’t like using a dishwasher either. She doesn’t believe that it cleans her plates the way she would like them to be. So, Akinyi uses her hands to wash her dishes instead.

Will she ever get past these issues with trust and let automation take care of her undies and dishes? We’ll see!
