Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters opened up about her life in a video in 2018. In this video that she recorded, she reveals two times back in 2015 that she nearly lost her life.
She describes a time where she woke up and claimed that she wasn’t able to breathe. Then, Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters says she’s driven to the hospital via an ambulance. Next, she describes being diagnosed with pneumonia and rushed into the ICU.
However, during Tammy’s time in the ICU, she tells her 1000-lb Sisters fans her oxygen levels dropped down to “17.” Then, she says she “passed out” and woke up three weeks later. Tammy says she nearly died during this three-week period. After that, she says she nearly lost her life again a “day or two” after waking up.

However, that’s not all that Tammy Slaton says she experienced. The 1000-lb Sisters personality describes how when she woke up, she wasn’t able to do a lot of things by herself. Then, she details how she had to learn how to walk and how to talk after all of the time she spent on life support in the ICU.
