1000-lb Sisters features Tammy Slaton, who is starting to take her weight loss seriously after gaining 100 pounds in only a few months. Her sister, Amy Slaton, says she has a secret to tell fans and is nervous about how it could go. She says Tammy got into rehab. After years of dealing with her weight, she is finally getting some help. Soap Dirt shares with fans that Tammy went to rehab for at least eight weeks. But she did not want to go at first.

Tammy had a long and hard talk with her family who is concerned for her health. On multiple occasions on 1000-lb Sisters, Amy states that she does not want to bury her sister. Even their mom, Darlene Rednour, bought two burial plots for her because of her size. When she realized that she couldn’t breathe without an oxygen tank or move very much, she wanted to turn her life around. She was admitted to the facility at 680 pounds.

TLC Star Makes Progress

1000-lb Sisters fan favorite Tammy Slaton said in the past that she has a food addiction, and it’s a hard habit to kick. At rehab, she is able to stick to a diet and exercise program. There she gains the ability to move and breathe better. It takes some time, but her doctors say they want her to lose 100 pounds before going back home.

Tammy says that she is homesick. The 1000-lb Sisters star says that she misses her bed, her nephew, Gage Halterman, and even her sister Amy Slaton. At a weigh-in, she learns that she has dropped 60 pounds and credits that to portion control. She says the meals they have her eat are much smaller than she would usually eat. They give her one sandwich, but she says that she would usually eat four at home. But can she deal with being homesick much longer?

Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters drops 60 pounds in rehab. But, will she continue to lose weight? She sits with a nurse at the facility and tells her that she is ready to head home after eight weeks. And, says she learned how to deal with portion control and how to exercise. She says that when she gets home, she knows only to order one burger when she eats out. The nurse looks confused and asks her if she will be eating out. She says that with just one burger a day, and she will be able to lose weight.

The nurse tells her it would be best if she stayed at the rehab facility until she at least loses the 100 pounds doctors have asked her to lose. But she says she is ready to go home now. She calls her brother, Chris Combs from 1000-lb Sisters to come and get her. He goes to get her because he is concerned if he makes Tammy stay, her attitude will not be good. And, she might get kicked out. But he thinks she should stay too. Will she only eat one burger a day from now on?
