1000-lb Sisters: Tammy Slaton Fights for Her Life

Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters recently ended up in the hospital again. But, this most recent hospital visit put Tammy in a vulnerable position. She confirms that she was on life support after this most recent trip to the ER.

The reason why Tammy from 1000-lb Sisters went to the hospital in the first place was because of a blood clot. She talks about how she has trouble breathing and doctors found a blood clot in her lung.

Yet, this isn’t the only time Tammy Slaton’s been on life support. There were two other times in her time on Earth where her health’s gotten so bad, she’s been left to fight for her life while in the ICU Her family members have even gone as far as making plans for Tammy’s funeral.

TLC Personality Isn’t Expected to Recover

Amy Slaton, Tammy Slaton’s sister, even makes a video asking for donations. Amy’s asking for money to help to pay for Tammy’s funeral. She says she doesn’t think Tammy’s going to make it out of the hospital, because of how bad the clot is. Then, Amy says she needs money to buy a large coffin, because normal-sized coffins are too small for her sister.

1000-lb Sisters: Scary COVID-19 Diagnosis

Thankfully, Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters makes a full recovery from her clot. Yet, she isn’t completely in the clear with her health yet. Not only does she manage to put on nearly 100 pounds during the course of season two, but she has another major health scare too.

Her doctors give her less than five years to live if she doesn’t start making changes with her weight. Yet, this warning isn’t scary enough for Tammy to take seriously. She still makes poor decisions with her eating decisions.

During the filming of season two of 1000-lb Sisters, Tammy Slaton reveals she’s diagnosed with COVID-19. She talks about how scary it was not being able to breathe properly.

Still Working, Despite Pandemic

Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters isn’t letting anything stop her from working on recording. Even though she’s still recovering from the coronavirus, she doesn’t stop filming. Tammy tries her best to keep herself isolated from the rest of her family, so she doesn’t get anyone else sick. But, she says she’s trying her best to keep herself and everyone else protected so they don’t get sick.

1000-lb Sisters: Tammy Puts Herself in Danger

Recently, many 1000-lb Sisters supporters are calling out Tammy because she isn’t trying her best to keep herself protected. In clips she’s the recording of herself, she’s wearing her facial covering down around her chin. Tammy isn’t covering her nose or her mouth with the face mask.

She says the only reason why she’s wearing the face mask is that she’s shooting season three of 1000-lb Sisters with the TLC film crew. Then, Tammy says she isn’t trying to get COVID again. Yet, fans say she isn’t using the cover the correct way to keep anyone protected from the virus.

One fan even speculates that the reason why Tammy from 1000-lb Sisters isn’t using her face covering properly is to keep herself a secret. The individual says by wearing the mask around her chin, she’s able to hide whether or not she’s losing weight. Yet, she denies this claim and says she only wears it this way when she isn’t around anyone while she’s filming.
