1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton opened up about a surgery she had in her past that left her on life support. The procedure she had, a D and C, was performed on her in an attempt to stop her intense menstrual bleeding.

Tammy Slaton of 1000-lb Sisters shared in a video from 2018 about a man she was once in love with. She talks fondly about the desire she had to get this man out of the rehab center they were both staying at. Also, she declared she wanted to marry him.
However, their romance quickly came to an end after Tammy got sick with pneumonia. Yet, her pneumonia wasn’t the cause of the end of their relationship. Instead, while Tammy was in the hospital and getting better, she was waiting around for a call from this gentleman. Eventually, Tammy grew tired of waiting around for him to call her, so she called him.
This is how Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters learned about the death of her lover. She cries and says that she feels guilty for the loss of his life.

TLC Celeb Goes to Hospital
After about “a year” of the death of her boyfriend, Tammy Slaton says she woke up one morning. Then, she noticed that she started her “monthly” and when she went to the bathroom. During her trip to the bathroom, she noticed she was bleeding very badly. Tammy describes her blood loss as “gushing.”
Next, Tammy tells her mother that there’s something wrong. So, she decided to go to the hospital. While at the hospital, Tammy’s cleaned up by the medical staff. After standing up to go to the bathroom again, she had a lot of blood fall onto the floor.
1000-lb Sisters: New Bloody Mess for Tammy
During the first bloody incident Tammy experienced, she ended up spending one week in the “pregnancy ward”. However, after her period stopped, she went home.
Then, Tammy Slaton ended up having the same problem again one month later. She says she began to bleed again but it was a lot worse. During her transportation from one hospital to another, she needed four blood transfusions.
Star Gets Surgery
The 1000-lb Sisters personality, Tammy Slaton, says she got surgery done. The operation she claims to have received a D and C. Next, she describes how she hopes she never has to get surgery again. Then, she says needs gallbladder removal surgery.
Tammy Slaton explains that during the operation, she ended up getting put on life support. Yet, she says she was taken off of the life support right after her surgery was finished.
