However, Tammy’s currently 34 years old and she’s been given a little bit of a time extension. With her latest weigh-in at the doctor’s office, it’s revealed she’s put on a lot of weight. Instead of getting slimmer as she needs to in order to get approved for gastric bypass surgery, she’s stacking on the pounds.

On 1000-lb Sisters, a scale reveals Tammy Slaton’s put on 50 pounds in around one month. This news shocks her brother, Chris Combs, who’s unhappy with her weight gain. But, the team of medical professionals that are working with her to try to help her to lose weight says she’s got five years left to live. They warn her that her body is eventually going to give out. They say it’ll happen if she doesn’t get serious about her health journey.
