‘1000-lb Sisters’: Tammy Chokes on Sloppy Joe in Never Before Seen Footage
1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton is caught choking on a sloppy joe sandwich in footage that hasn’t been yet seen from Season 1. She and Amy Slaton are eating a meal together before they get started with their new diets.
1000-lb Sisters: Tammy Slaton Discusses Family Genetics
Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters is talking about how she struggles with losing weight. But, she blames her family genetics as one of the main reasons why she can’t slim down. Tammy goes into great detail about her family genetics and how her siblings were all overweight at some point in their lives.
At first, the 1000-lb Sisters celebrity reveals her oldest brother weighed nearly 1,000 pounds. Also, she claims her biological father was nearly 700 pounds. However, she says both of these men in her family received some type of gastric surgery to help them slim down.
Then, Tammy Slaton talks about how her sisters were all at least 400 pounds. Yet, she says there are some sisters that have slimmed down enough that they got skin removal surgery.

However, when Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters starts talking about her sister, Amy Slaton, she says she’s confused. Tammy explains she doesn’t understand how Amy Slaton is losing so much weight. Then, she reveals how she called Amy every day for two weeks straight to learn what her sister was up to.
Next, the 1000-lb Sisters personality says Amy Slaton’s response was always about how she’s going out to eat. Amy says she only eats out when her husband Michael Halterman isn’t working.
1000-lb Sisters: Brand New Footage from Season 1 of Tammy
In a clip that wasn’t featured of the 1000-lb Sisters in Season 1, Amy Slaton and Tammy Slaton are sitting down for a meal together. Amy explains that both of them have decided to get surgery. Then, she says they’re both going to have to figure out how to eat better and to stop eating as much.
Amy Slaton puts a large spoonful of sloppy joe mix into her mouth. As she shovels the food into her mouth, she says “bye-bye sloppy Joe.” Tammy’s response to this is “I didn’t know Joe was sloppy.”
On 1000-lb Sisters, Tammy asks if the mix of food is healthy. Then, Amy says it isn’t, but that it “sure is good”. While Amy’s responding, Tammy scoops a large portion of food onto her plate.
Choking Caught on Camera
After Amy Slaton puts a spoonful of food into her mouth, she maintains eye contact with Tammy Slaton. During this 1000-lb Sisters never before seen footage from Season 1, Tammy starts to choke and cough on the food. Then, Amy playfully looks back at TLC’s cameras as she says “every time.”
This playful side of the 1000-lb Sisters is what so many fans love about this TLC show. Hopefully, fans will get to see more of Amy Slaton and Tammy Slaton joking around during Season 3 of 1000-lb Sisters.
