Diane Jenkins arrived in town claiming to be a changed woman. She has done everything to insinuate herself into her son’s life. Kyle asked Diane to allow him time to figure out his complex emotions. He has received an earful from several people about his mom.
Diane made many enemies the last time she lived in Genoa City. So Kyle has heard all about her dastardly deeds. Very few people in Kyle’s life support him giving his mother another chance.
However, Kyle decides to do just that. He asks Diane to stay in Genoa City and even offers to pay for her lodging on Young and the Restless.

Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) promised to stand by her husband no matter what he decides. However, now that he asks her to stay, Phyllis will recruit her daughter in her plan to get rid of Diane for good.

The big question remains – has Diane Jenkins changed? Her behavior since she appeared on Young and the Restless hint she is still as cunning as she ever was. She used lies and trickery to get Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to come to Los Angeles.
Then used Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) to lure Jack into meeting with her. Since she has been in Genoa City, she conveniently “runs into” Kyle at every turn.
