‘Young and the Restless’ LEAK: Adam & Chloe Chemistry Test – Will They Hook-Up?
Young and the Restless leaks from the set say Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) are getting scenes together as a chemistry test to see if they have potential as a couple. Such a pairing would be explosive for all of Genoa City – and fans of the CBS soap opera. If not Chloe, then a new character may join the show as a love interest for Adam.
Young and the Restless LEAK: Bizarre Adam Newman & Chloe Mitchell Pairing In the Works?
A CBS insider leaked that Y&R writers are toying with an Adam Newman pairing with Chloe Mitchell. The characters historically hated each other. However, hate and love are both strong emotions that can often get confused. And there’s just a thin line between them.
How many times have a couple been intensely arguing only to end up in a passionate embrace moments later on a soap? It may seem like an unlikely romance. However, both are top-notch actors and could make such a relationship work. But it would infuriate fans.
Adam has still not proven that he has really changed. Not to mention that Chloe is currently with her longtime love Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart). They have two children together. And share a rich history on Young and the Restless. But you never know on a soap opera…
Adam & Chloe Have a Long History of Animosity on Y&R
If the daytime drama coupled Adam with Chloe Mitchell, they’d have to do a lot to get past their ugly history recall Young and the Restless recaps. Adam drove the car that killed Chloe’s daughter. So, it would take a miracle for her to move beyond that horrible night. Plus, he married her bestie on Young and the Restless more than once – and broke her heart repeatedly.
Chloe often has encouraged Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) to leave Adam high and dry. Imagine if Chloe took up with Chelsea’s ex – their friendship would surely be destroyed. Further complicating such a relationship is the fact that Adam kidnapped Chloe Mitchell after she tried again to kill him.
And speaking of attempted murder. Count the times she tried to off him. She’s tried to run him down with a car, blew up the cabin he was holed up in, and also shot him. It seems such union may be impossible due to the vengeful deeds they have both done to each other. But there have been stranger matches on Y&R – so never say never with matchmaking in the writers’ room.
Young and the Restless Scoops: One-Night Stand vs. Long-Term Romance?
Those two falling in love may be out of the question. But the two could get caught up and take arguing to a passionate one-time hook-up. If the writers want to get people talking – that’s one way to do it. It would be a shocking turn of events, to say the least. Recent Y&R news illustrated that Adam shares chemistry with Chloe Mitchell.
As they argued in recent scenes – there was fire and some spark. But they both also have a lot to lose. Adam Newman expressed regret for how much he hurt Chelsea. And even a one-time romp in the sheets with Chloe would be a slap in the face for his con-woman ex. If he is really trying for redemption, that’s the last thing either of them should do.
As for Chloe, she could lose her BFF and her family. No way would Kevin tolerate a fling with Adam on Young and the Restless. Such a betrayal would leave him devastated. For the moment, Adam Newman’s in no shape to get jiggy with anyone since he just coughed up a kidney for his niece. But the leaker says these scenes were just a “test” by Y&R.
“Shey” Here to Stay – Y&R News
As of now, Adam Newman’s single and ready for love. But there are slim pickings in Genoa City. According to the Young and the Restless leaker, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and her husband Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) are here to stay. That’s at least for the rest of the year per the inside source.
“Shey” recently reunited and appear to be solid. And Adam has vowed to stop running to the pretty blond every time he has a problem. It seems they will finally let each other go for good. Chelsea’s off the table too. She’s in a mental hospital and may take one last run at revenge on Sharon before the actress sets off on maternity leave from Young and the Restless.
Y&R actress Melissa Claire Egan is due to deliver her first child in August. Her extended maternity leave will make a reunion impossible in the near future. The CBS insider reports that she will take a longer than expected break from the soap. So, with no Sharon and no Chelsea, maybe Adam will take a romp with Chloe Mitchell. Or… someone else is coming to the CBS sudser for him.
Young and the Restless Update: New Character Joins the Cast?
Recent Y&R comings and goings news hint a new woman could join the canvas soon. She would be the same age as Adam. And work as a police officer or Federal agent. With his history of skirting the law, this could be a volatile combination. This new character could also work with Rey or the returning recast Chance Chancellor.
So, it could be that the CBS soap casts a net looking for a female foil to play against Adam Newman. But that doesn’t preclude them writing him a one-time thing or a secret fling with Chloe Mitchell. It would be a total shocker and might draw some ratings. Then again, it could enrage fans and turn them off. Watch for more scenes between Chloe and her nemesis Adam to see if you notice a spark.
