The brothers have shared both a wife and a girlfriend on Young and the Restless. First, each married Sharon. Then they both had a romance with Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan). Adam and Chelsea were once married. They have had an on-and-off romance for years.

Nick and Chelsea became a couple after Adam was presumed dead. They were happy together. But then Adam returned to Genoa City with amnesia. Chelsea and Nick eventually broke up. And she immediately returned to Adam to declare her love. Left sad and alone, Nick was single for months.
