‘Young and the Restless’: Donny Boaz Vomits over Abby & Stitch – Fans Agree with Ex-Chance Actor
Young and the Restless alum Donny Boaz, ex-Chance Chancellor, seems to be no fan of Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) with Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) in their current storyline. In fact, he seemed nauseated by it when replying to a recent post by official Y&R social media. And many fans chimed in supporting the former CBS soap actor.
Young and the Restless Posts Pics of Abby & Stitch – Ex-CBS Actor Reacts
Y&R posted a set of photos of Abby Newman and Stitch Rayburn on their official social account. They called these the “perfect throwback” as Stitch returned to town recently. They asked if fans remembered these moments. Three of these pics can be seen below. They include a wedding photo of Ben and Abby’s nuptials on Young and the Restless. And Donny Boaz was not into these pics and shared a reaction.
There was also a holiday pic, a casual pic, and one of Mel photobombing Sean with Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott). Of course, Stitch was Abby’s husband before she wed Chance Chancellor. You may recall that Donny Boaz was the recast of the role. Then, when Donny came down with COVID, he had to take a break from Young and the Restless.
So, for their wedding scene, Donny wasn’t there as Chance. Instead, Mel Ordway’s husband, Justin Gaston stepped in as Chance Chancellor to marry Abby Newman. Then, Donny Boaz came back as Chance. But it wasn’t too long before he was cut from the show with no explanation from Young and the Restless. Boaz said he was told there would be no recast and Chance was just gone. Now he’s commenting.
Donny Boaz Drops Vomit Emoji on Y&R Social Post
Young and the Restless seemed to be hoping for positive fan comments but got a lot of negatives. One faction of fans said they think Stitch is the one that kidnapped Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), who’s carrying Abby’s baby. Others said the whole storyline is boring and needs to move along. Still others called for the return of Chance Chancellor.
But it stunned many fans when Donny Boaz dropped a vomiting emoji in the comments section (see below). And that drew its own reaction from Young and the Restless fans. Reactions ranged from laugh emojis from those who found Donny’s response funny. Others said they want him back as Chance. Many said they miss the actor. Still others wished him well.
And one even agreed and dropped the same vomit emoji back in sympathy to the Young and the Restless actor. Many asked when Donny Boaz is coming back as Chance Chancellor. And others said lmao. Most seemed to find Donny’s reaction pretty funny. Plus, it seems many just want this Mariah kidnap storyline to move along.
Will Chance Be Back or is Abby Sticking with Stitch on Young and the Restless?
First, it definitely looks like Donny Boaz is not coming back as Chance Chancellor. It appears there are some hard feelings since CBS abruptly cut him as Chance. The network cleared all photos of him off their press site but still follow him on social media. And, since Abby keeps name-dropping Chance, it sure felt like they might recast Chance. But now, it feels like Young and the Restless might be going another way.
Initially, Y&R brought back Sean Carrigan for just a few episodes, but they’ve extended his run. But that’s what happened the first time they brought him in as Stitch. He came for four episodes and stayed years. So, they may not reveal him as the kidnapper (if he is) on Young and the Restless. And they could declare Chance killed or MIA to allow a reunion.
Some fans seem to be onboard with Abby with her ex. Others want Chance back and miss Donny in the role. However, the latter seems unlikely to happen. But it’s sure interesting when an ex-soap actor chimes in with a little diss like that and the fans definitely enjoyed it.
