What exactly brings the sassy redhead back to her old stomping grounds? It’s all about her plan to get Summer Newman (Hunter King) out of town ASAP on the CBS soap opera. The Italian opportunity she’s using to tempt Summer has ties back to Eric on the two CBS soaps.
Young and the Restless – Bold and the Beautiful Crossover: Sally Spectra in LA to Meet Eric Forrester
Sally Spectra has been working overtime to push Summer out of her hair on Y&R. She made a deal with the devil when she joined forces with Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). They concocted a plan to offer an amazing job to Summer. It just so happens to be in Italy.
The plan will get Summer moved out of the country. That opens up her job at Fenmores. Sally Spectra hopes to jump right in and take her place. While Ashland promised to help Sally Spectra, he is moving too slowly for the impatient schemer per Young and the Restless news.

So, she will go to see if a personal visit with Eric Forrester will help get the wheels turning. That’s where this crossover with a Bold and the Beautiful character comes in on Y&R. Sally mentioned when talking to her Grams (Patrika Darbo) that Eric might key to her scheme.
Sally is obviously desperate if she’s willing to return to LA. It’s the town where she has more enemies than friends. To say that everyone was happy to see her leave is an understatement. And Eric Forrester’s no fan of the scheme she pulled as she left. But he’s a forgiving guy.
Sally Asks For a Favor on Y&R – B&B Mashup
Eric Forrester was always fond of Sally. During her time in LA, he gave her a job as a designer at Forrester Creations. Back then on Bold and the Beautiful, he took the young woman under his wing and mentored her. However, he wasn’t able to keep her on the straight and narrow.
Instead, she gave in to her dark side and hurt some people before she left for good. Then, in Genoa City, on Young and the Restless, Sally hoped for a fresh start. But, Summer had to go digging up dirt on her in LA. And now, Sally is back up to her same old tricks.

So, will Eric see through her ruse and realize she’s running a con? He regrets the way he treated Sally’s namesake back in the day – the OG Sally Spectra. Thus, he may be willing to help, especially if she spins a good enough tale of woe.
Young and the Restless information shows just how devious she can be. And Forrester Creations works with the company in Italy, so he may have some power behind his words. And if Sally can hide her endgame of targeting Summer, then Eric might fall for it.
Young and the Restless Updates: Summer & Kyle Plan Wedding – Rivals Plot Against Them
While Eric Forrester would never agree to intentionally hurt someone, he might not realize he’s part of a scheme. No doubt, Sally Spectra hides her true motives in asking for his help. So, it is likely he will unwittingly work with Sally to cause trouble for Summer and her fiance.
If Summer leaves town, it could spell the end of her and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), despite them planning to rush to that altar. At least for the time being on Young and the Restless. Watch and see whether the tortured couple can just make it down the aisle.
Young and the Restless scoops indicate Hunter King could be leaving the soap opera (at least temporarily) to begin production on a new ABC comedy. So moving to Italy for an incredible job opportunity would give the pretty blonde a reason to leave town.
However, it is unlikely the duo would attempt a long-distance romance. Especially since the writers already have one couple in such a situation already. Plus, there’s the issue of Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) vying for Kyle’s attention on Y&R. So, it’s a big mess brewing.
