‘Young and the Restless’ Anniversary Snubs Mariah & Tessa – New Moms Name Dropped Only!

Why Aren’t Mariah Copeland & Tessa Porter on Young and the Restless Anniversary Episodes?
Once again on Y&R, we’re missing Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). The big bicentennial gala in Genoa City serves as the backdrop for the CBS soap’s 50th-anniversary celebration.
But where are Camryn Grimes and Cait Fairbanks? Of course, they were part of the big anniversary photo shoot. The image up above is from that press offering. Yet we’ve not seen them in any recent scenes on The Young and the Restless.
Grimes last appeared on March 3 to briefly tell her mother, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) that Delphine had the baby. They glanced at photos of her newborn that Mariah adopted with her wife. But where was Tessa during the chat?
On Monday, Sharon shows off photos of her infant granddaughter at the gala. Meanwhile, neither Mariah Copeland nor Tessa Porter is in sight. Why is that? The showrunner slid them onto the back burner for months while their characters go through big changes.
Tessa Sidelined as Baby Story Earns Name Drops Only on Y&R
This will be the second name drop on Young and the Restless in a month of no scenes and scant mentions of Mariah or Tessa. Meanwhile, Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) baby bump is finally showing and everyone’s in a tizzy.
But the baby that Mariah adopted with her bride is here, birthed, and ready to be seen and loved. Yet we’ve not seen the tot. Remember when Y&R left Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) holding a pile of blankets for weeks until they cast a baby to play little Dom?
This gala even included extras, but couldn’t included Tessa and Mariah ( mind you who has been on show 25 years ?) Tessa 6 yrs. Make it make sense even if they just stayed for a few segments!!🤬 and where’s Allie also ? 🤦🏽♀️ #Yr

Is that the problem? Is the CBS soap incapable of hiring a little one to play Mariah Copeland’s adopted child? Why can’t they just have her and Tessa cuddling one of those life-like dolls until they cast someone on Young and Restless?
Recently, Grimes appeared on an episode of The Talk to celebrate the big milestone for the soap series. And she and Cait Fairbanks were spotted at the real-life celebratory event (see above). But still no scenes of them on the show itself. Why?
Young and the Restless Snubs Longtime Cast Member Camryn Grimes?
Many Young and the Restless fans interpret Mariah’s longtime scene absence with partner Tessa as a huge and ongoing snub. Consider how long Camryn Grimes has been on the CBS soap opera… She first appeared as Cassie Johnson in March, 1997.
Camryn Grimes has been on the soap for 26 years — half the run of its 50 years on the network. So, why isn’t Mariah Copeland sitting at a table at the gala next to her beautiful wife Tessa Porter? They brought back many guest stars for the gala.
We’ve got Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian), Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd), Gina Roma (Patty Weaver), and Leanna Love (Barbara Crampton), among others. Meanwhile, Doug Davidson’s character Paul Williams is supposedly off visiting family.
And it seems like Mariah’s in Portland on Young and Restless with her new baby and Tessa. Plus, Y&R spoilers for the week of March 27-31 list nothing for Mariah or Tessa. And neither of the actresses’ IMDB pages reveal upcoming air dates.
What is happening at the CBS anniversary that they’re ignoring such a long-running cast member as Camryn Grimes? When will we see Mariah and Tessa Porter again? And will the soap actually cast a baby to play their newborn? Wait and see…
