Young and the Restless spoilers for May 25-29, 2026 include Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) absolutely unhinged and refusing to come clean and get the help that he needs. Plus, Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) is getting revenge on a rival with a really sneaky move that comes right out of the blue.

So, we are going to get into what is going on with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and his crumbling deal with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), plus what Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) does that could make his life so much worse. And also, looks like it is time for a family intervention.

Now, as we always do on early edition day, we are going to start with what is happening the rest of this week and then we are going to talk about what is coming next week. So, let’s get right to it.

Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, May 20th: May Sweeps Ends – Billy Reassures Sally

On Wednesday, May 20th on Young and the Restless, it is the final day of May sweeps and we do have some big action. Billy reassures Sally that he will not be arrested and they start making some wedding plans. So, Billy talked to wedding planner Pietro. He’s the guy who did Nikki’s big party. Unfortunately, he can’t do their wedding until 2029. And that’s too long to wait.

So, Sally says they’re just going to plan it themselves. Billy suggests a destination wedding, a carnival theme. And then finally, a small family-only event, but it’s Sally’s first wedding, so she wants something over the top. She tells Billy she wants to walk down the aisle pregnant and showing her bump and Sally is already working on her wedding dress. Billy is thrilled to be marrying Sally and they decide they’re going to get hitched in October.

Y&R Spoilers: Victor Worries about Nick

Nick drops his pill baggie then rushes to hide it as Victoria walks in to join him at Crimson Lights. She gripes to Nick about their estranged parents and Phyllis keeping Newman. Nick says they can’t stop Phyllis from being Phyllis. And then Victoria worries about Nick and starts questioning him about his addiction.

Victoria asks about rehab and Nick lies and says he went to an initial meeting and Victoria wonders why he’s so relaxed. He’s high obviously, but Nick lies and says it’s meditation he’s been trying. Victoria keeps poking and Nick doubles down on the meditation lie and Victoria is upset when Nick is clearly not being honest with her.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor Won’t Budge

Meanwhile, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) meets Victor and he tells Michael that Phyllis has till the end of the day to deliver both Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and his company if Phyllis wants to avoid criminal charges. And Michael reminds Victor the trial is risky for him too because he did AI stuff also. But he tells Michael that in the end he really doesn’t want to put Phyllis in prison because she’s mom to his granddaughter.

But Victor will do it if she doesn’t hand both over. Michael says Phyllis thinks the Newmans would rather have Matt than the company. And Victor insists it’s got to be both. Upstairs, Matt is grilling Phyllis on insisting he stay hidden in his room. She says the Newmans know he’s in town and will grab him up. And Matt asks why Phyllis is helping him since he’s done such awful things. And she tells Matt everybody deserves a second chance.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Clobbers Matt

Phyllis is really cagey and says her gut tells her she can trust the man that Matt is now. Meanwhile, he says he just wants to leave Genoa City and that way Phyllis won’t be stuck between him and the Newmans and this will be over. But she warns Matt he’ll be caught the moment he walks out of that room. Phyllis offers to cut a deal with him and the Newmans and Matt wonders if he will be bad again when his memories come back. And then he insists he needs to leave town and Phyllis agrees to drive him wherever he wants to go. Sounds good, right?

Matt turns to pack up his stuff and Phyllis knocks him out cold with a steel picture frame and then she ties him up. Meanwhile, Michael asks to meet with Phyllis. So, Red snaps a picture of trussed up Matt and then she heads down to her room to meet with Michael and he says Victor set a deadline. It’s end of the day for both Matt and Newman. And Phyllis says she’s done with dealing with Victor. She also fires Michael. And then Phyllis says she can save herself.

Michael Loses His Temper

Now Michael tries warning her. And then he loses his temper and kind of rages at Phyllis because she begged him to help her. And then she’s doing this. Michael walks out mad and he goes and tells Victor she fired him so he’ll have to deal with Phyllis directly. And then Michael storms away from Victor as well, clearly tired of them both. Phyllis calls Nick and says she’s ready to finalize the deal if he can get the charges dropped. Nick says Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) is open to it, but they need proof. So, Phyllis sends a photo of Matt gagged and bound. And Nick is satisfied with that.

Thursday, May 21st on Y&R: Victor & Nikki Come Together for Nick

Thursday, May 21st, we’ve got Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor ignoring their marital strife and coming together for Nick. Sounds like Victoria and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) may bring both of their concerns to these two about Nick being back on pills. Fingers crossed that we’re going to get a full-scale intervention because he needs it. But the question is, would Nick even show up because he’s busy trying to cut this deal with Phyllis.

Also, Jack is going to see Patty in a different light on Thursday. He has some kind of change of heart about her. Now, she gave Jack truthful info about what Victor did and what he paid her to do. And Jack was intending to use that to ruin Nikki and Victor’s marriage beyond repair, but it feels like he might be switching gears.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Kyle Questions Jack

Also this week, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) asks his dad, Jack, if he is still planning to use Patty to go after Victor because, of course, Kyle was hoping to take down Victor himself. Also this week, Patty heads to Matt’s room at the GCAC and she finds him all trussed up like Phyllis left him. And we’re going to see Patty untying Matt, but the question is, will she take off with him and hide him in her room or someplace else.

That way, Phyllis can’t use him. Matt doesn’t want to stay. And I think Patty is going to take him and use him herself. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) arrives in New York. She’s with Stephanie and Holden Novak (Nathan Owens). They’re toasting with champagne. Sounds like they’re celebrating a successful transplant for Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore), but honestly, it’s really going to stink if Shemar Moore does not have scenes. And this all happens offscreen and we just hear about it.

Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, May 22nd: Claire & Holden Turn Romantic

Friday, May 22nd, things turn unexpected for Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin) and Holden in New York. They might get really romantic. They may hop back in the sack.

And I also wonder what’s going to happen with the Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) secret that he promised Claire if she came to New York with him. Nikki stands her ground. Nick may be pushing back on rehab or she may be pushing back on Victor about what’s happening with Matt and the Newman deal. Jack makes a poor decision on Friday. This may be something to do with Patty or Jack may go too far looking to get personal payback on Victor.

Week of May 25th-29th: Phyllis Panics

Then the week of May 25th through the 29th, we’ve got Phyllis in crisis. She’s lost control of Matt thanks to Patty and that means Phyllis is at risk from Victor and may in fact be going to jail. If Phyllis can’t deliver Matt, bottom line, she’s in deep doo-doo. Patty’s getting attached to Matt, which might be a good thing for Jack if she swaps her fixation over onto Matt.

Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is still recovering from his donation procedure and is likely thrilled to hear that Malcolm is doing well after the transplant. Lily is back in Genoa City soon to check on him and we’ll see if they get closer. And also we have got his sort of brother Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) stopping by as well to check on Cane this week and may tell him about his wedding plans. May talk to him about Cane’s criminal trial that’s coming up.

Plus, Claire and Holden look to be getting more serious. Nick is deep in crisis. He’s lying and stubbornly refusing to address his addiction. And I wonder if the Newmans are going to force him into rehab when he continues to deny that he is spiraling and back on fentanyl. Jack’s unwise choice at the end of the prior week could land him in much bigger trouble with Diane.
