Sonny Corinthos is a New Man on General Hospital
GH fans know Sonny Corinthos is not the same man he was before his time in Nixon Falls. The longtime mob boss is trying to prove that he’s still ruthless.
But, it’s clear that he’s different. Of course, he still has some of his old traits. However, Mike, the bartender, is still front and center. The old Sonny would hold a grudge.
And he would stop at nothing to make someone pay if they betrayed him or his family. The legacy mobster was dangerous and lethal. But, “Smike” is peaceful and more forgiving on General Hospital.
He was quick to let Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) off the hook for hiding his identity. Plus, he’s leaving Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) alone now that he’s out of prison.
Fans will recall that Sonny threatened to kill Brad if he didn’t plead guilty to the baby swap. Indeed, he was looking out for Michael. But that guy is gone. Now, he’s willing to let Brad live his life in peace. Surely, that’s something OG Sonny Corinthos would never do.
It seems he’s lost that natural edge that made people fear him. And it’s putting his business at risk. Furthermore, he has a new enemy — his own son, Michael. And Mikey could be the one to take Sonny down for good on General Hospital.
Michael Corinthos Vows to Destroy His Father on GH
These days, on General Hospital, Michael is in touch with his dark side. And he won’t stop until he takes everything from Sonny. Michael is furious with his dad for putting Nina above their family.
And for sleeping with Nina while still married to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Mikey is very protective of his mother, Carly. And he can’t let his cheating father get away with betraying her.
However, kicking him out of his life is not enough for Michael on General Hospital. He wants to make his father pay and lose everything he’s built. Now, Michael is ready to play dirty and get revenge on “Smike.”

GH viewers know Sonny is a coffee importer, and his business, Corinthos Coffee, has been around a long time. His coffee biz is legit. However, it’s also a front for his shady mob dealings.

Then, if the cops come after the mobster, there’ll be nowhere for him to hide. Indeed, Michael’s plans sound ruthless. And if he succeeds, there will be no going back. He may lose his father for good.
Michael’s brother, detective Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), is against his revenge plot. And Dante tried to talk Michael down. But his mind is made up. And he could very well tear down the business and leave the Don with nothing.
