Chris Williams (MAFS)

Chris Williams is one of the most polarizing Married at First Sight participants of all times. He was on MAFS Season 12 on Lifetime, husband to Paige Banks.

He and his wife were one of five couples matched on the season, set in Atlanta. Billed as a successful businessman, Chris Williams courted controversy from the start of his season on Married at First Sight.

Married at First Sight experts, Dr. Calvin Roberson, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, and Dr. Viviana Coles, matched Chris Williams to Paige Banks. But it seemed ill-fated even before the wedding day ended.

Chris said that Paige wasn’t his type, but then went ahead and consummated their relationship. MAFS fans (and the experts) felt that he misled her. Other accusations included gaslighting and worse.

During his tenure on Married at First Sight, some interesting scoop came out about Chris Williams. He touted his success on the show. But we broke the story that his Subway franchise went belly-up and he was evicted from the location.

But his off-screen issues were the least of the issues with Chris, in the eyes of Lifetime reality fans. At every turn, it seems he let Paige down. One of the worst instances was the reveal that his ex-fiancee was pregnant.

After that shocking reveal, Chris Williams revealed that during the filming of Married at First Sight, his ex miscarried the child. There were also many questions about his timeline and whether he signed up for the show while still engaged.
