‘Survivor’: Leaker Wrong with Season 43 Winner Reveal?

A Survivor leaker from revealed who they said won this year’s CBS reality show. This leaker is normally very reliable, but this time they got it wrong.

There is a leaker that claims to work for CBS and for years has passed on to the media spoilers for popular CBS reality shows.  Historically, this person is almost always right. But, since they don’t work directly for the reality shows, they are sometimes wrong.

What makes this an interesting news story is the number of media outlets that reported this leaked that turned out to be wrong.

Leaker Says Elie Scott Win Survivor 43?

Months ago, before the season even began airing on CBS, Elie Scott’s name leaked from the inside source as the winner. And they also leaked what they claim is the top 5 final castaways. Sami was listed as one of the players to sit beside Elie at the end.

However, as we all know, Elie was sent home on the October 26th episode of Survivor.

On Survivor 43, it’s clear Elie Scott was playing a strong game. Her psychology skills from the real world seem to translate well to the island competition.

However, When Gabler threw out her name. It was “Game-Over” for Elie.

Born in Atlanta, GA, the current Salt Lake City, Utah resident counts Kelley Wentworth and Kim Spradlin as her gameplay role models. And she was holding her own despite having some issues Sami Layadi. Then Mike Gabler crashed her game.

So, Elie will not be the sole Survivor of Season 43? Things looked so promising.

Leaks Abound with CBS Changing to a Non-Live Finale

One big change with COVID affecting the production of reality TV is it changed how CBS filmed the show. Already, they did some back-to-back filming, but the elimination of live finales is the biggest change.

When Survivor only revealed the winner at the finale with votes read, even the castaways didn’t know who won. Now, though, everyone goes home knowing the result and there’s a lot more potential for viable leaks.
