‘Sister Wives’: Meri Brown Slammed for Title of Her New Series

Sister Wives celeb Meri Brown is not getting cheers for moving forward in life today as some fans see her going too far with a new venture. Although the thought behind it might be fun, the title of her new series may be hurtful to some of her fans.

Sister Wives: A Different Meri Brown

Since the last season of Sister Wives ended, fans anxiously wait for the next. But they still get to keep up with Meri Brown. The first wife of Kody Brown frequently posts photos and inspirational messages for her fans.

But a while back she started Friday with Friends. This entails Meri and her best friend Jenn Sullivan getting together for a live chat online. They take comments from Sister Wives fans and the two of them together are pretty entertaining.

Probably the best part of it all is you get to see Meri looking so happy and having fun. She’s very different on this online series. She doesn’t seem to be the same Meri Brown who appears on the Sister Wives show.

One of the comments this week asked why fans don’t get to see this fun and goofy side of her on the Sister Wives show. Usually, Meri is bombarded with nothing but nice comments. But something changed this week.

What Was Meri Thinking?

It seems Meri started a spinoff of her Friday With Friends. Maybe that’s because there appear to be a lot of people tuning in just to watch her chats. People love the Sister Wives series and they love Meri Brown as well. The tweet below is just one of many that pop up through the years.

So, this new spinoff series follows suit to the entertainment awarded by watching Sister Wives.  Meri Brown seems not only fun but kind in her latest online series. She and her BFF spread the cheer, they take Friday With Friends on the road and stop by a fan’s home.

The name of this spinoff – Friday’s with Friends ‘Stalker Series’  and again, it’s a great concept. But the title has some people up in arms.

People had a problem with the word “stalker” used in the title. A few fan comments chastised Meri over her choice of using that word.

Sister Wives: Great Concept – Bad Choice Of A Word?

One commenter said it was wrong to use the word “stalker” in a joking manner. Another fan suggested that using the word stalker the way she did wasn’t showing any respect to those out there who faced a real stalker during some time in their life. One fan even called it “gross.”

While Meri Brown is featured on the Sister Wives series, she doesn’t have the built-in safeguards that a network has. Before they attach a title to any of the shows on TV, you can bet they’ve been explored to the max.

Before a television show gets a title, they use focus groups and even polls. But Meri is just one person in the big online world. So, she didn’t have this advantage. If she did she probably would have learned in advance that it would be offensive to some.

But putting the choice of the word aside, Meri and her gal pal Jenn did spread some cheer on her first edition of taking this on the road. It’s far from the entertainment you get from Sister Wives. This offers happy stuff. No drama here, just a great way to end the workweek.

It seems they stopped in to visit a mother and a daughter who are over the moon happy about the visit. So Meri created a good thing all around except for people taking issue with the title. It will be interesting to see if this Sister Wives star changes the title of this little spinoff after the flare-up over it.
