‘Sister Wives’: Kody Surfaces with Tail Between His Legs in Next Episode
Sister Wives star Kody Brown has thrown much of the blame for his recent split on the wife who left him in the new Season 17.
This leaves little to no blame for himself while discussing this on the TLC series. But Christine Brown held a firm composer. As her shared husband berated her as well as their time together, she didn’t bite back.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown Plays Nasty
When Kody Brown first heard what Christine Brown planned to do, he became unhinged. He blamed her. Then came what seemed like retaliation. Next, he tried to drag their marriage through the mud.
Papa Brown even said he was pressured into marrying her all those years ago. Plus, the Sister Wives’ patriarch claimed that he didn’t love her when he took her on as his third wife. He didn’t play nice.
This really isn’t anything new. Kody has put down Christine a few times. Through more than a decade of seasons, he’s said a few unsavory blurbs about his now ex-wife. Who can forget Kody Brown’s nacho story about Christine?
He told an embarrassing tale about her from long ago. Before they were married he watched her eat nachos. He said that watching her eat the cheese-saturated snack grossed him out.
The Sister Wives’ patriarch shared this publicly during an interview. At the time, he did this with her sitting there. But she had no way of knowing where this came from.
She was not only blindsided but also confused as to why he was telling everyone. So, Season 17 is not the first season where some mortifying words about Christine come out of the mouth of this husband of four.
Kody Claims He’s Looking Unmanly and Weak
The talk that Kody and Christine embarked on took up a good portion of last week’s episode. But they are not done. This week, the Sister Wives viewers will see Kody as he seems to back off in his attempt to get Christine to take the blame. But it doesn’t come off as genuine.
But last week when Christine insists that Kody join her as she tells the other wives about her decision to leave, he bulks at the idea. He doesn’t want to be there. That’s because she packs some power in her accusations about how Kody’s behavior led her to this point.
So Kody Brown claims he’ll look unmanly and weak to the other wives if he sits there while Christine does her spiel. But she’s adamant that he join her for this sit-down with her fellow co-wives. So, he agrees to do this.
Then, as the first Sister Wives episode of Season 17 comes to an end, Kody fumes. He’s all fired up over getting all the blame. But this Sunday, it looks like he had time to think about it. So, next, from what the previews show, he sings a different tune.
Sister Wives: Let It Sink in and Marinate for a While
Kody Brown has lightened up a bit when the second episode of Season 17 rolls out this Sunday night. Or at least he does in front of Christine Brown. He apologizes to her for being so angry. He now understands that all she wanted was to be free.
This seems like another way Kody skirts the issue of blame. With that said, his wife plans to divorce him for some very solid reasons. So, Christine tells him he’s being sweet with this apology. She also claims it’s the nicest thing that he ever said to her.
But will she still think that way when she hears what Kody says while he’s alone in front of a Sister Wives’ camera? So, after all that sweetness coming from him, he turns to the camera and says that this feels like a “major injustice” being done to him. So, now it doesn’t sound as if he was sincere with his apology.
Kody Does Quick Flip Flop
Again, it sounds like he’s not accepting the blame. That’s despite letting Christine assume that he heard her long list of injustices. The ones she suffered while married to Kody Brown. But next, it sounds as if he’s buttering her up.

Kody Brown tells her he needs to get to a place in his head. He wants to be able to rejoice in her happiness and her freedom. So, this gets Christine gushing over his words.
She thanks him, along with paying her shared hubby a compliment. She says that he just said the sweetest thing that he ever said to her.
So, Kody Brown seems to have his tail between his legs in the upcoming episode. This is after all the disparaging things he said to Christine Brown in episode one. But that doesn’t last long.
That’s because as soon as she’s out of earshot, he calls this a major injustice to him. Check out Sister Wives Season 17, episode 2 on Sunday at 10 pm EST on TLC.
