‘Sister Wives’: Kody’s Daughter Didn’t Mention This While Slamming Dad?
Sister Wives star Kody Brown may have 18 kids, but they are no longer the little children who the fans first met when the TLC show originally rolled out. No, the majority of his offspring are either adults or on the cusp of young adulthood.
As the kids grew into these adults, many developed their own public voices about their family affairs. Especially when it came to their father.
Sister Wives: Mudslinging at Kody Brown Continues
A few of Kody Brown’s kids shared that they felt slighted by their father. There were several reasons why. One was because he was always with Robyn Brown and her kids.
But even Christine Brown said that he spent more time with his youngest wife and her children. Kody’s third wife talked about the pain this caused her children.

In fact, one of the reasons among many that she decided to leave the Sister Wives’ patriarch was because of his lack of attention to her kids. Plus, as his wife, she felt that he lacked attention when it came to her as well.
But Gwendlyn Brown, Christine, and Kody’s 21-year-old daughter became very focal on the shortcomings of Kody’s daddy duties. In her latest critique of a Sister Wive’s episode, she spells it out.
Kody Created a Stereotypical Mother Out of Christine Brown?
Gwen said her father lacked in parenting. So, this caused Christine to pick up the slack. Gwendlyn said that while growing up Christine took on the form of a stereotypical mom.
While watching a clip of the Sister Wives show, Gwen videotaped herself critiquing what was going on. She chimed in how dads are useless and cannot take care of their kids.
Well, we probably all know dads out there who would find this blanket jab at fathers insulting. But it sounds as if Gwen was only speaking from experience.
She said how her mom became more like the mother of all the kids. Then Janelle Brown, while still a mom, took on what the father role typically is in a household.
Janelle worked and her co-wife Christine stayed home and watched all the kids. Which is something both Sister Wives moms wanted to do. They felt best suited for the roles they took on as parents. But Gwen forgot to mention something about Christine when tagging her as the stereotypical mother due to this.
Sister Wives: Christine’s Nurturing Not a Bad Thing
When talking about her dad, Kody Brown, Gwen sounded as if she thought her mom had no choice but to take on a super mom role. It’s almost as if she thought Kody’s lack of father duties formed her mom’s stereotypical mother role.
But Sister Wives fans know that Christine is a nurturing person. Even when Kody walked into her house she would drop everything to prepare him something for lunch or dinner. She was the same way with her kids.

The other piece to this is that her mom looked happy while doting on Kody and her children. She loved to cook for them all. She even took on most of the holiday feasts, piling her delectable dishes high for her big family.
While Kody may have lacked in the father department, this likely didn’t create Christine’s super mom identity. She always seemed like the most attentive of all four wives to Kody’s wants and needs.
So, if she had Kody all to herself as a husband, she’d likely become a stereotypical doting wife as well. She’s just a very nurturing woman when it comes to her family. It seemed like Gwen left this out when talking about the role her mom took on as Kody Brown neglected to do the duties of a father.
