My 600-lb Life star Ontreon Shannon opened up about how he’s in congestive heart failure. His condition was so bad, his cardiologist refused to keep him as a patient.
My 600-lb Life: Ontreon Shannon Will Not Live to See 40?
Ontreon Shannon from My 600-lb Life said the only thing he can think about when he wakes up is if he’ll be able to win the “battle” he’s in. He says the “medical issues” he has caused him great concern.
Then, he shares big news. The TLC celeb says he has “congestive heart failure” and has to take a lot of medications. In addition, Ontreon says he’s in the “advanced stages” of diabetes.
On My 600-lb Life, Ontreon says he has had two different doctors tell him that he’ll be lucky if he makes it to 40.
Ontreon he doesn’t want to live this way. In a confession, he says he takes about “13 to 14” different medications a day. He says these medications are the only thing that helps to keep him out of the hospital. Plus, he said these medicines are only to help treat his chronic health condition.
TLC Star Cut Off By Doctor
Despite the health conditions, Ontreon from My 600-lb Life once had an easier time in his life. He was able to work as a security officer in a retail store. While he was able to work 14 hours a day, he realized his size helped him with his job. This is when he began to develop problems with his heart. So, he went to a cardiologist and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure.

Sadly, the My 600-lb Life star said his cardiologist “cut” him off as a patient. Then, he said his doctor told him that there wasn’t anything else they could do to help him as a patient.
My 600-lb Life: Suicide Plans Revealed by Ontreon
On My 600-lb Life, Ontreon Shannon said he lost his job at the store he worked as a security officer. Then, he said he had a complete mental breakdown. As a result, he said he was suicidal. So, he “made plans” to make his “ultimate escape”, he said he felt an inner peace inside of himself.
Next, he said he said he felt God talked to him. He thanks God’s grace as the reason why he’s still here today, because of an agreement they made.
After he nearly ended his life, he began to get serious about his weight loss journey. So, the My 600-lb Life celeb began to fast and lost 200 pounds. But, he gained the weight back after more complications in his life.
Hopefully, Ontreon continues to find success on his weight loss journey.
