‘My 600-lb Life’: Irene Walker Approved for Surgery

My 600-lb Life star Irene Walker has had a slow start to her weight loss journey. But now she is finally making progress and what doctors say is getting fans excited.

My 600-lb Life: Irene Walker Might Need a Walker

My 600-lb Life personality Irene Walker has talked about things that have caused her to gain weight. She is currently 600 pounds and growing. When fans meet her, she is sweet and nice, but her eating habits look like they are affecting her life. In just the first ten minutes of meeting her, it is shown that in one day, she will consume a family-size fried chicken meal with all the sides. And then, she will eat four large cheeseburgers with two large fries. Don’t forget her large sodas.

Her son fears that she might need to use a walker to get up soon. Or worse that she might become bed-bound. Now for her size, she is able to move around a bit easier, but it won’t last long. Her friends and family see that she will die if she doesn’t do something about her weight soon. Does she have what it takes?

TLC Star Fails at Weight Loss

My 600-lb Life features Irene Walker trying to make a difference in her life. But so far, this might all be for not. She tells the camera that she is following the diet and exercises that Dr. Younan Nowzaradan gives her. He is known for having a full-proof plan for people who are very obese. And he uses his famous saying often when it comes to the people on the show. “The scale doesn’t lie.”

Irene said she was doing all the right things, but when she only lost five or six pounds, Dr. Now knew she was not putting in the work. He denied her for weight loss surgery and said that if she wants it, she really has to work for it because he only wants to help people who want to help themselves.

My 600-lb Life: Irene Walker Gets Approved

Irene Walker from My 600-lb Life took what Dr. Younan Nowzaradan had to say to heart. She worked hard, and when she stepped on the scale next, she was shaken. She had lost 60 pounds and then some. This put her over her goal to meet and had her start to believe in the program.

When she went to the doctor’s office room to wait for Dr. Now, she was unsure of what to expect. When Dr. Now came in, he said how proud he was and then approved her for surgery. She just had to wait a little longer because of COVID-19 restrictions.
