‘Married at First Sight’: Chris Williams Says It’s Over with Paige Banks

Married at First Sight celeb Chris Williams said he is done with his marriage to Paige Banks. The one-month anniversary arrived, but instead of a celebration, the marriage is over. Chris said she wasn’t meeting his needs, and they had no connection.

Married at First Sight: Chris Williams Says Paige Banks Doesn’t Comfort

Married at First Sight star Chris Williams told Paige Banks she wasn’t meeting his emotional needs. When Paige asked about him neglecting her needs, he did not reply. The couple has been going back and forth between getting a divorce and trying to salvage anything out of the relationship. Last week, on Lifetime Channel’s Married at First Sight, Dr. Viviana Coles asked Paige what she wanted from Chris. Paige said a text a day would be the bare minimum.

Chris Williams said that he wasn’t comfortable with that because he felt forced into communication. But this week, on Married at First Sight, Chris told Paige that he called her several times, but she didn’t answer. He said he is done. Paige Banks said he called her at night while she was visiting her mother. She asked why he didn’t follow up with a text?

Chris Williams said he didn’t like to text, although he’s often shown on Married at First Sight with his phone in his hands, typing out something while he’s in a conversation with someone else. Paige asked where Chris was when she needed emotional support? Paige Banks pointed out that they signed a paper, binding them to each other, and she deserves respect from him for that.

MAFS: Chris Resents the Lack of Communication

Chris Williams, of the reality show Married at First Sight, told Paige Banks she did not communicate enough with him. Chris said he felt rejected because he called her five or seven times this week, and she didn’t answer. Paige told fans of MAFS that she has a life and obligations and can’t always drop what she’s doing to answer the phone.

Chris said that since their last agreement to become friends, Paige only wants to hang out when filming is going on. And the lack of communication felt like she wasn’t trying. A flashback scene from their honeymoon showed Paige Banks ask Chris Williams why he never said anything about his previous engagements. Chris Williams’ explanation then was that she didn’t ask, so he didn’t say anything. But she’s the one not communicating, in his opinion.

Paige Banks asked Chris Williams, her spouse on Married at First Sight, how can they commit to the process if they shut the door on each other? He told his wife they’re not doing a good job at being spouses. Chris went on to say he can’t focus on building anything with Paige because she won’t answer the phone. She responded every time they try to have a serious conversation, he has nothing to say.

Different People On and Off Camera?

Chris Williams, of Married at First Sight, acknowledged he doesn’t know Paige Banks, although they are married. Chris said it goes back to communication and that Paige doesn’t communicate. He said he has nothing to say in person because Paige doesn’t have anything to say off-camera.

Paige Banks defends herself to fans, saying she also has things to do, business to handle, and errands to run. She’s not sitting at home waiting for Chris to call. Chris Williams told his wife on Married at First Sight he doesn’t have a connection with her and that they are emotionally disconnected, 100%. He checked out of the relationship mentally, Chris declared.

Chris told fans it frustrated him because nothing changed this week. He said it doesn’t make sense that Paige Banks doesn’t want to hang out other than the filming times for Married at First Sight. Chris Williams ranted about her actions on camera not being real. He said cameras wouldn’t follow them for the rest of their lives, and they were at a dead-end in their relationship. Paige dissolved into tears and walked out of the room. Chris said, “we didn’t make it. I’m sorry.”

Married at First Sight: Paige Watches One-Month Anniversary Package Alone

MAFS star Paige Banks acknowledged her one-month anniversary to Chris Williams alone. The couple received a wedding video package, framed vows, and a book of wedding pictures. She went through these alone in her apartment. Paige told fans of the Lifetime show, Married at First Sight that she wanted to be a wife more than anything.

Paige Banks believed that being Married at First Sight was her dream of marriage being manifested. It was the biggest risk she’d ever taken in her life. She said she is drained emotionally. She believes it’s probably best she and her husband, Chris, didn’t make it to their one-month anniversary.

Paige Banks watched their wedding video and went through the album she and Chris received. She said she would have to move forward individually from here. The main lesson she learned from this experience is to choose herself, and that’s okay. This Married at First Sight couple seems finished for good.
