‘Mama June: Family Crisis’ – June Shannon Snubbed by Daughters
Mama June: Family Crisis star June Shannon feels hurt and embarrassed. She is upset that all of her daughters, except for her oldest Anna (Chickadee) Cardwell don’t show up for her bridal shower. This is especially after the lies she told her husband Justin Stroud‘s mom about how excited they are about the upcoming wedding.
Mama June: Family Crisis – June Shannon’s Lies Blowup in Her Face
June Shannon continues to try and make amends with her daughters, Anna (Chickadee) Cardwell, Lauryn (Pumpkin) Efird, Jessica (Chubbs) Shannon, and Alana (Honey Boo Boo) Thompson. However, they are not making it easy for her.
She wanted to create a good impression on Justin’s mom, Rexanna Stroud, and his family. So she lied about how close she was to her daughters, and how excited they were about the bridal shower and upcoming wedding.

Her lies blew up in her face. She and Justin got into a terrible argument. He was angry with her for lying to his mom. She explained that she wanted his mom to like her and see that she was not the same person that she saw on the news a couple of years ago. She wants her to see that she was all about a happy family.
WEtv Daughters Boycott Bridal Shower
No matter how often she asked, June Shannon’s daughter told her she could not attend her bridal shower. So since Pumpkin was not attending, Jessica and Alana also decided to boycott the party. The Mama June: Family Crisis star convinced her oldest daughter Anna to participate.
WEtv fans were not happy to see Anna Cardwell show up for her. They think her mom guilted her into coming. Anna has not been feeling well lately. Earlier this year she was diagnosed with stage four adrenal cancer that had spread to her lungs, liver, and kidneys.
The mother of two is currently undergoing her fourth round of chemotherapy treatment. So when she shows up at the party many fans were shocked.
Family Crisis: June’s Feelings Take Another Big Hit
Having her daughters snub her bridal shower invite was not the only news The Mama June: Family Crisis, mom is dealing with. The day after the bridal shower she also finds out some surprising news. During breakfast, Justin Stroud came across an interesting social media post.
He tells her that Lauryn Efird, Alana, and Jessica look to have a great time celebrating. He then sees why. Justin asks his wife if she knew Jessica had a girlfriend named Shyann McCant.
She looks surprised and says no, and he tells her that the family was all out at Jessica’s coming-out party. This news upsets her. She tells Justin she doesn’t like that they ignore her. She says she is always the last to know about anything that is going on with her daughters.
It is easy to see that the Shannon matriarch feels hurt. Then Justin doesn’t know what else to say. He knows she’s not upset that Jessica is coming out as gay. But she sees it on social media first.
The Mama June Family Crisis star, June Shannon understands her daughters resent her drug-addicted past behaviors. However, she feels that since she has been sober for more than three years, it should count for something.
She says she wants to move on, rebuild relationships with her daughters, and live a happy life. But she is over being the only one who tries.
