‘Love During Lockup’: Jessica Wants to Erase all Traces of Dustin
Love During Lockup fans may remember Jessica and Dustin Phillips‘ story from Season 2. She was the Jacksonville, Florida corrections nurse who fell for an inmate. Not only did she fall hard for him, but she was also willing to forgo everything in her life to be with the man of her dreams.
However, things did not work out between the WEtv pair, and now she is left with many regrets, and some major inkwork to deal with.
Love During Lockup: Dustin Phillips Wins Jessica Over
Jessica of Love During Lockup shocked her family and friends when she told them she had met the man of her dreams.
They were more than skeptical when she told them, they met while she worked as a prison nurse. Her family hoped she would come to her senses. But instead, she became more infatuated with him as time went on.
Inmate Dustin Phillips swept her off her feet and she was willing to do anything for him, no matter the cost. He promised her forever, and she began to make plans for their future. Her friends and family tried to convince her it was a mistake.
Love During Lockup star Jessica was so sure that she had finally found her soulmate and lifetime partner she wanted to prove it to the world.
So, the first thing she did was get Phillips tattooed across her stomach. No one could believe their eyes when she showed off her recent artwork. Especially Dustin’s family.
Dustin’s Family Attempted to Warn His Girlfriend
When Jessica decided it was time to meet Dustin’s family, she and her teenage daughter took off from Florida to Tennessee to introduce themselves.
His family felt she was making a big mistake. It was a shock when she lifted her shirt, exposing the large hip-to-hip tattoo of his last name to prove how committed she was to him.
They then try and warn the WEtv Love During Lockup cast member about Dustin. His sister says he has never been loyal to any woman. She adds she’s witnessed this behavior from her brother many times, and it is called jail talk.
Next, they tell her he has a serious drug problem. But Jessica is all smiles and tells them she is positive she can keep him off drugs. In the end, she leaves her daughter behind with her father in Florida and heads to Tennessee to make a new life for herself and Dustin.
Love During Lockup: Jessica’s Dreams Blow Up in Her Face
Jessica was forced to swallow a bitter pill early this year after things between the Love During Lockup pair fell apart. Long story short, Dustin landed back in jail on multiple charges which include felony evading, and domestic assault.
She said she became suspicious of the way he acted. So, she came home during her lunch break one day unexpectedly and found him in bed with another woman.
A heated confrontation broke out between the Love During Lockup stars and the other woman. Things quickly escalated and became physical with Dustin choking her out, stealing her truck, and taking off with the other girl. Jessica says she called the police, and that is where the high-speed chase and his arrest come in.
Lessons Learned & Moving On
Love During Lockup cast member Jessica says she has learned some tough lessons. But now she is ready to move on and plans to do it without Dustin. The reality television celebrity told her followers that she is taking measures to remove all of the Dustin Phillips-related tattoos from her body.
Jessica just gets worse and worse. So far, she quit her job of 13 years, moving to where this guy is, buying a house using money from her 401k…all for a jailbird. The concern for her child is non-existent. #loveduringlockup #loveafterlockup

She says all she has heard is fan feedback to ditch the ink, so the time has come. Jessica reveals her tattoo artist friend will start with her wrist and go from there. She adds she can’t wait to make all of her Love During Lockup mistakes go away – especially Dustin Phillps.
