She has just gone through a painful divorce and is looking for love and companionship. At first, she was spending her time getting caught up in the same old drab routine.
Jessica would go to work and then mope around the house. So, to begin changing her life, Jessica started to pursue a career in Corrections Nursing. She never really expected to find love, especially not in her place of employment.

During a typical day of work for Jessica, she says she met the man who was about to change her entire life. After Love During Lockup, inmate Dustin met the corrections nurse Jessica they developed an instant connection.
So, the two began casually meeting up. Dustin would find reasons to visit the prison infirmary to have a few moments with her. One thing led to the next before they knew it, the pair headed down the path to love.
Things between them started moving very fast. It was becoming difficult to see each other every day without rousing the suspicions of the prison administration. So, Jessica devised a new plan.

The Love After Lockup star came to a decision. She wants nothing more than to be with Dustin romantically. But, since inmate and prison employee relationships are a big no-no, Jessica gives up her job at the prison, forgoing her career for the new love of her life, Dustin.
That is not all. The Love During Lockup couple is planning to spend their future lives together. To do this, she is willing to give up everything to follow her heart.
Not only is she leaving behind her career. But she is also willing to pick up and relocate to Tennessee to be with Dustin when he is released.
However, there is one catch to it. Before they can be together in Tennessee, she has to accomplish a couple of things. First, she must meet his family, and second, she has to win them over and get their blessings before moving forward in her relationship with Dustin.
She believes it shouldn’t be too difficult a task. However, it is not going to be as easy as she thinks. His family is not willing to just welcome any stranger to the family.
So, the former nurse will have some serious work ahead of her if she plans on making a life with Dustin. Love During Lockup premieres Friday on WEtv.
