Love During Lockup star Melissa (Louie‘s girlfriend) should know at her age that first impressions count for a lot.
Especially when you are meeting your boyfriend’s mother for the first time. After the stunt she has pulled, it may be impossible to win her over now.
Love During Lockup: Melissa Makes A Huge Mistake
Love During Lockup viewers feels Melissa is living in some fantasy world. They believe she is so wrapped up trying to relive some past high school fantasy that she fails to see the big picture. She had said several times that when she was in high school, she crushed on Louie big time. However, he never gave her the time of day.
They also find it a little suspect that even though he wanted nothing to do with her then, he suddenly decides she is the girl for him from behind bars.
On Friday’s show, Melissa wants to see her Love During Lockup inmate so much that she is willing to go to any extreme to get a peek at him.
So she does something impulsive and potentially hazardous to his freedom.A theme we’ve seen on the original Love After Lockup WEtv series.
Melissa drives to Georgia to drive by a job site where her “dream man” is during his work release program. But, of course, this is a big no-no in the eyes of the prison.
Not to mention his mom is non too happy when she finds out about it, and she lets her son’s girlfriend know it.

Love During Lockup: Louie’s Girlfriend Melissa Blows It With Mom
When she finally arrives at Louie’s mom’s home, his mom is suspicious of why she is so late. So when the Love During Lockup star sits down to chat, she admits she did a drive-by to get a glimpse of him. So, of course, she is in heaven when telling his mom she got to see her son. But mom is not impressed. Instead, she is furious with her.
Melissa is somewhat shocked by his mom’s attitude toward her. However, mom doesn’t care. She is less than impressed with the situation as it is. But now that she knows she did something that could jeopardize her son’s release. Well, that was a big mistake.
Love During Lockup Louie’s mom goes off on her. “We don’t put Louie in jeopardy,” his mom snaps. “I want him to come home, so don’t do that,” she adds.
WEtv’s Louie Is Working Hard Towards His Release
Louie is in good standing with the prison at this time. He has been working hard, obeying orders and the rules. He was even allowed a few special privileges, including a cell phone. This made it easy for the Love During Lockup star to call him at any time throughout the day.
However, according to FilterMag.Org, Georgia changed their cell phone law in May, disallowing prisoners the right to carry cell phones any longer. This is another reason she is acting so desperately to see him since she can now not contact him as much. Despite her reasoning, his mom is unhappy, which could become a huge issue between the LDL couple as time goes on.
WEtv’s Love During Lockup‘s mama has made it clear to Melissa that she wants her boy home with her. She will not allow anything or anyone to get in the way of that. So she better hear her warnings. It looks like Melissa may have serious competition for her guy’s love and attention once he is released.
