Love During Lockup star Melissa is reliving her high school dream. She and her partner Louie have a history. Despite knowing each other in their youth, the WEtv couple has a unique story. One that is both interesting and a little strange.

Love During Lockup viewers finds New Jersey couple Melissa and Louie’s relationship confusing. Melissa says that back in high school, she had a mad crush on him. However, she says she has not been the luckiest in finding true love over the years.

Melissa says that she was lonely and was at a point in life where she was beginning to believe she would never find true love.

So, while working as a mail carrier, she came across some inmate letters. She became curious and began looking into finding a prison pen pal of her own.

However, she feels she hit the jackpot. Not only did she find a pen pal. But she also found that one of the inmates looking for friendship was non-other than her high school crush, Louie.

She was blown away at the chance to reconnect with him, and the Love During Lockup star was not about to let him get away again.

Love During Lockup: Louie & Melissa Are Over the Moon Happy

The couple dives headfirst into a serious relationship. They felt it was destiny. They had found each other after all these years. So, when Love During Lockup‘s Melissa told her family about her relationship, they were initially excited for her.

However, once she began spilling all the details about her love interest, her family began expressing their concern and disapproval. Her sister and friend do not understand her choice. When they ask her why Louie, she gushes and tells them, she loves him.

Melissa refuses to listen to their concerns. Her sister has issues with the fact that Louie is not only in prison for armed robbery, but her sister is living in her teenage past.

However, the Love During Lockup star believes that he is the best thing in her life. Now that she has him for her own, she is not letting anyone or anything interfere with their relationship.

WEtv Couple Face Many Obstacles

The WEtv Love During Lockup couple are not interested in what others say. Melissa is blind with infatuation over her former high school crush she is willing to do anything to make him happy.

She has no issues taking naughty photos of herself and sending them to her man. Nor does she mind handing outside the prison to flash Louie and the other inmates from a distance.

The couple wants to be married. However, her dad is putting his foot down. He tells her that if she is foolish enough to go through with marrying a felon, he will not be a part of it. Love During Lockup‘s Melissa is shocked that her dad refuses to walk her down the aisle.

But she is not willing to let that interfere with her happiness. The New Jersey mail carrier wants to keep Louie happy. So, he wants her to move to Georgia to be with him after his release.
