‘Love During Lockup’: Is Melissa’s High School Crush Over?
During the Love During Lockup season finale, Melissa gets a huge wake-up call about her inmate boyfriend, Louie Fojut. She learns many disturbing details about him during her visit to Georgia. During her visit with him, she is suddenly hit with a major wake-up call.
Love During Lockup: Louie’s Mom Sets Melissa Straight
Melissa is beginning to doubt her relationship with her high school crush Louie Fojut. During her visit to Georgia, she decides it is time to meet her Love During Lockup boyfriend’s mom, Donna.
Things get off to a rocky start between the two women. Donna has no problem letting her know she is the number one priority in his life.
It is apparent his mom will not let Melissa come in and think she is running the show. So, she sets her straight from the start. She informs the Jersey girl of how things will be once Louie Fojut is released from prison.
Melissa is under the impression that he will move to New Jersey to be with her. However, Donna has different plans. She tells her son’s Love During Lockup girlfriend, Louie, is moving back in with her for a couple of years, maybe more.
Donna also spills that her son plans on becoming a yoga instructor. Also, he has been talking with a woman named Rutu, who plans on helping him.

The Love During Lockup star is shocked to hear everything Louie Fojut’s mom is saying. She is also upset that her inmate boyfriend has not mentioned any of these plans to her.
In fact, their plans are completely opposite. She is unhappy to hear he is chatting up the prison yoga instructor. This sends her jealousy into overdrive.

Melissa feels she needs to get some answers, so she sets off to talk with some of his friends and learn more about this yoga instructor.
Melissa gets a rude awakening when searching for details about her Love During Lockup boyfriend. She learns Fojut has been talking with them about getting a job in Georgia upon his release.
She also tracks down Rutu, the yoga instructor, and takes one of her classes. Melissa feels jealous. She believes there is more going on. Even after Rutu tells her there is nothing to worry about, she doesn’t buy it, so she calls Louie and confronts him.
Their conversation is not going as well as she had hoped. He shuts her down. Fojut says he is unhappy with her behavior. He also doesn’t want to talk anymore about it.
Love During Lockup: Does Melissa’s High School Dreams of a Life with Louie Come Crashing Down?
Melissa can’t let it go. She feels torn between believing the man she loves and feeling betrayed. So, she plans to visit him in person at the Phillips Transitional Center in Georgia, where Louie of Love During Lockup is serving his time.
She states during her confessional that she is having doubts about her relationship with Louie. It is all beginning to sink in that he is in prison. Before now, she felt she was in denial and treating it like a long-distance relationship rather than what it was.
The WEtv star also wonders if she is more in love with her high school crush version of Louie Fojut than the real version of him now. The Love During Lockup star says things are getting real for her, and she feels less confident about their relationship.
Will she continue to move forward with her high school crush, or will reality set in and send her back to New Jersey, crushed and alone?
