They understood going into it that there would be bumps in the road once he was released. But what they are some of the problems they are facing are more mountains than bumps.

Derek Warner and Monique Robinson are both guilty of keeping secrets from each other. The Love After Lockup couple hoped that when they were finally together after his release, the secrets would all be revealed, and they could start with a clean slate. However, things have yet to go in that direction so far.

Monique Robinson admitted she suffered from trust issues. So, it will take some time for her to step back and believe everything her inmate boyfriend, Derek Warner, is telling her.

She also deals with significant issues with his sister, Elizabeth Cartel. They do not like that Derek ghosted them since he left prison. So, they call and text her with harsh threats and accusations.

The Love After Lockup inmate keeps telling his girlfriend to ignore the messages and block his family from contacting her. She also wants them to know she is the woman in his life and holds all the power and control regarding him.

This is getting to him. He has spent the past nine years locked behind bars. Now that he is free, he doesn’t plan to allow anyone to control his life ever again.

Warner says he comes out of prison with a plan for his life. The Love After Lockup inmate saved all his prison cash to the tune of 9K.

He says he does not have the time or energy to deal with his sisters’ drama. Instead, he wants to get to the bank and set up his bank and credit accounts to proceed with his plans.

Next, he wants to hit the gym. He is looking for membership and will begin working on his next step of becoming a trainer. He also plans to help his girlfriend to start working towards her weight loss journey.

But, while they try to get everything in order, Monique’s phone continues to blow up. She is angry and wants to find his sisters and have it out. She doesn’t care how the confrontation goes down. But, if it comes to it, she is willing to throw down with them.

Derek is not into this and loses his temper with his girlfriend. He tells her he is wearing an ankle monitor and is unwilling to be involved with anyone threatening to jeopardize his freedom, even for her. He tells her he will have no problem moving on without her if she doesn’t get it together.

WEtv Star Gets a Taste of Danger

Monique Robinson’s hot temper is about to be the least of the Love After Lockup star’s problems. But someone is playing a dangerous game with them.

Monique knows that Derek was involved with some sketchy and dangerous people in his past. But she hopes that he is finished with that life.

While she waits outside the parking lot for Derek to visit his grandma, she notices a white car driving slowly around the parking lot.

She gets an uneasy feeling. When he gets in the car, the WEtv camera crew is also in Monique Warner’s vehicle. They all notice the white car from the parking lot is following them.

Monique starts to freak out because she doesn’t know what to do. She has no idea who is following them or why. However, things are about to take a dangerous turn for them. Someone is getting very aggressive with them on the highway.

The faster they keep driving, the more aggressive the car behind them becomes. It is all about to come to a head, and they will soon find out who is tailing them and why.

The Love After Lockup star fears it could be someone from his past, but whoever it is, she is getting a scary taste of danger, and she doesn’t like it. This car chase threatens Derek Warner more than anything else that has gone down. Will he wind up back in prison, or worse?
