‘Love After Lockup’: Derek’s Shady Behavior has Monique’s Radar Working Overtime

Love After Lockup star Monique Robinson‘s inmate boyfriend, Derek Warner, has her on high alert. She wants this relationship to work.

But something is not quite right. He is acting shady, and she will find out why he is. She wants to trust him but will not let her guard down until she gets to the bottom of his sketchy behavior.

Monique of Love After Lockup says she does everything possible to please her man, Derek. She picked him up from prison and booked them a nice hotel.

Monique admitted before his release, she sent him money. Robinson said she wanted to make sure he had what he needed and wanted to make his incarceration more bearable.

Not only did she do all of this before he was released, but she also picked up a brand-new cell phone and about $5k in name-brand designer clothes, so he had something nice to wear.

Of course, Monique’s sister, Calandra Robinson, worried her sister is getting in way too deep with someone she doesn’t know.

However, her sister’s concerns were not enough to prevent her from spending even more money. So, for their first date, the couple headed to downtown Cleveland, Ohio, to an upscale restaurant. Derek wanted a nice meal for his first dinner out of prison. But, once he began ordering, he didn’t stop.

He ordered everything from ribs and lobster to Alaskan king crab. He also enjoyed knocking back some high-dollar champagne. However, when the check arrived, Monique was upset with Derek Warner, not only because the meal cost her $506 plus tip but, because he was acting extremely shady.

Some Love After Lockup viewers think that Derek is running a game on Monique. The inmate is not out of prison for one full day, and his new cell phone is weirdly blowing up.

She finds this annoying and tells him to answer the private number that keeps calling. But he tells her he doesn’t want to talk on the phone during their time together.

Fans say things at dinner became even more suspicious. He keeps saying he needs her to let him have a great night. He wants to go to the casino. She wants nothing to do with that and tells him she is too sleepy. Oddly, someone he knows come up to their table.

The Love After Lockup star finds this highly suspicious. Warner tells his friend he is just out of prison and wants to go to the casino, but Monique is tired. So, his friend offers to pick him up after the couple finishes their dinner date.

They soon get into an argument because he wants to go out. She tells him no, but finally gives in when she sees he will go with or without her. On the way out of the hotel, he tells her she needs to hit an ATM and get them some cash to take to the casino.

WEtv Viewers Think the Couple is Heading for Disaster

Love After Lockup viewers think Monique Robinson is heading for trouble. So far, they say they have yet to see Derek Warner prove he has any interest in her for something other than her money. Fans also say the inmate showed his hand during his WEtv confessional.

When the camera crew questioned him about the phone calls, Derek said another woman had just reached out to him and wanted to meet. However, he says he is committed. This relationship is not starting too great. Robinson already revealed she did not trust Derek.

This is why she planted the hidden camera in his grandma’s house. She controls the camera, cell phone, and cash. So naturally, most fans think this is a recipe for trouble. They also think the first time she catches him misbehaving, it is game over. But will she have run herself broke first?
