‘Little People, Big World’: Matt Roloff Says He & Zach Reconciled – Family Feud Over?

Little People, Big World patriarch Matt Roloff alienated Zach Roloff over the failed farm purchase, but he assures fans they’ve reconciled. Are you surprised that they’re able to work things out, given the bitter scenes in this season’s TLC episodes of LPBW?

Little People, Big World: Matt Roloff vs Zach Roloff over Farm Purchase

LPBW Season 23 focused on Zach Roloff pitching his dad Matt Roloff to sell the family farm to him. It makes sense that he’d want it. After all, his son spent his entire childhood on the farm. Amy Roloff and Matt bought it in April 1990.

Then, in May of 1990, Amy gave birth to twins Jeremy Roloff and his brother Zach. From there, Matt made the farm into a wonderland for their children, as seen on Little People, Big World.

He built an old West town, a medieval castle, a pirate ship, and more to entertain their growing family. Then, after their 2015 split, Matt bought her share of the property for $975,000. And he claims he still owes money to his ex.

So, when Zach offered to buy the farm, money was a concern for his dad. And they disagreed from the get-go on what was a fair price. Matt Roloff said his son “came in real hot” on LPBW.

He said his son made demands and didn’t come prepared to negotiate. Those tense scenes also featured Tori Roloff and Caryn Chandler. And the latter’s presence really irritated his son on Little People, Big World.

LPBW Update: Amy Roloff Unhappy with Rift – Blames Ex-Husband

In addition to watching the father-son feud on the TLC series, they got into a war of words online as well. And Amy Roloff’s been strictly team Zach while her husband, Chris Marek, took a more balanced approach to the family battle.

At one point, Jeremy was also interested in the farm. And his dad seemed to think his oldest boys should have combined their efforts. He wrote on social media, “my twin boys decided not to consider working together toward a possible joint sale.”

Then, Zach fired back, saying the statement was “misguided and false” and called it a “shocking low of cowardice and manipulation… for his [Matt’s] own gain”. Amy learned about the sale from Chris, as her ex-husband told her new hubby about the sale first.

Her reaction was “ugh”. The Little People, Big World mom said her selling to Matt was predicated on the assumption their kids would wind up with the farm. She didn’t think he’d ever sell to an outsider. And she blames her ex, not her son for not making it work.

Matt Says He and Zach Reconciled After Little People, Big World Season

Things were so tense after the farm sale talks fell apart that an upset Zach Roloff moved out of state. He and Tori left Oregon and moved about an hour away to Battle Ground, Washington. And he even had Jackson Roloff break the news to his granddad.

After that feud, the LPBW season was fractured. There’s little interaction between the couples. Both sides expressed dissatisfaction since they’d all been close before. Often, Caryn and Matt babysat Jackson and Lilah Roloff. That’s all done now.

However, in a recent video made for a Little People, Big World fan, Matt offered some great news about his relationship with Zach. He said, “I just spent time with Zach, so we’re getting all the relationships back in order on our side.”

He said, “you can take a deep breath on that.” So, if you were worried that Matt Roloff would be permanently estranged from Zach Roloff over this farm friction, you can relax.

As of now, the property is still for sale for a whopping $4 million. It’s been on the market for three months now. Will it sell? We’ll see.
