Little People, Big World dad Matt Roloff spends endless hours working on the farm. But during this pandemic, it seems like he had some trouble keeping the farm afloat and needed some outside help.
Little People, Big World: Matt Roloff Takes a Helping Hand
Matt Roloff takes pride in the work he does at the farm. They’ve had some rough years in the past, but COVID-19 caused the farm to have some financial problems. They still put on the Pumpkin Festival during pumpkin season, but it doesn’t seem like that was enough to keep things running smoothly at LPBW farm.
Little People, Big World dad received a $53,841 Paycheck Protection Program loan in April of 2020. He said he would use the loan he received for The Roloff Company to pay employees during this difficult time. His goal is to continue to pay his employees and to keep the doors open at the farm.
Matt Roloff from Little People, Big World has a 100-acre farm in Hillsboro, Oregon that you frequently see on the TLC show. Matt, ex-wifey Amy Roloff, and son Zach Roloff are all listed as employees for the business.
The Farm Is Matt’s Pride and Joy
When Amy Roloff and Matt Roloff split, everyone knew Matt would want to stay on the farm. He always has projects to work on from small to large, and after living there thirty years, he didn’t want to leave. It was also difficult for Amy, but she didn’t want to take care of everything on the farm – or live next to her ex.
Little People, Big World father Matt Roloff, and former wife Amy Roloff bought the farm in 1990 for only $185,000. Before COVID, the farm would see around 30,000 visitors each year. People would come for the fall festival to get pumpkins, but many people would also use it as an event venue.
Local people come to the farm, but people from all over the world love to visit the place where they tape Little People, Big World. Matt doesn’t hang out with people very much when they come. But he does like to make sure the farm is at its best, so people have a lot of fun.
Little People, Big World: The Farm’s Future
Matt Roloff doesn’t have any plans to get rid of the farm. Many people think that LPBW star Zach Roloff will take over the day-to-day responsibilities at some point. Jeremy Roloff had shared his interest in the farm. But it seems like he and his wife, Audrey Roloff, have interests in other things.
Zach from show Little People, Big World surprised his parents when he told them he might want to move onto the farm. Everyone knows Matt’s grandson Jackson Roloff would love to live on the farm. He can’t get enough of playing there, but currently, someone is renting the farmhouse. And it’s not Tori Roloff and Zach.
