Life After Lockup: Derek Warner’s Marriage Proposal Wins Monique Robinson Over
Monique and Derek had a crazy season. The chaos began when he was released from prison and didn’t stop. Their relationship hit many roadblocks along the way. They faced issues among their families, and things even turned violent at one point.
Their journey is filled with lies, deceit, and mistrust. Her trust issues with him were obvious from the start. She tracked his phone and installed hidden surveillance cameras at his great-grandmother’s home.
It turned out that her suspicions were correct, and she discovered he could not be trusted. He even admitted on camera that he slept with several women after his release from prison.
He decided Monique of Life After Lockup was the one for him. So he flew out to Chicago, with an engagement ring, and planned to propose. However, things did not go as he planned, and he found his back against the wall not only with her but with her family.
She decided she had enough, and kicked him out of her house. It looked like she was through with him. That is until he proposed.
Monique’s Making Forever Plans for With WEtv Fiance
Once Derek got down on one knee and showed her the diamond ring, it was all over. She couldn’t contain herself and wasted no time giving him the answer he wanted to hear. Now the Life After Lockup bride-to-be is busy making big plans for her life with her soon-to-be husband.
New reports state that since the proposal she is now living in Cleveland, Ohio with her fiance. She has been very active on social media and reveals the couple has some big plans in the works. Monique Robinson says they want a baby soon. After that, she plans weight loss surgery.
But that is not the only plan she is making. She is very optimistic about his early parole release. She says following his release, the pair plan to move to Atlanta or Houston. The couple wants a small intimate summer wedding.
She says the wedding will be small, and many of her family members will not attend. She doesn’t want anyone who is not supportive of their relationship, which includes many of her family members.
Life After Lockup: Will Derek Keep His Promises?
Despite Monique Robinson’s happiness about her future with Derek Warner, not many WEtv fans are not too confident that the couple’s relationship will last.
She has all his passcodes and access to his social media accounts. He wants to prove she can trust him. However, he has numerous cell phones. This leads some viewers to believe he may have several accounts she doesn’t know about.

Their followers say they hope they are wrong. However, so far Derek Warner has not given anyone, even Monique Robinson, any reason to believe he is a changed man who plans on staying faithful. The new season of Life After Lockup won’t return until 2024 so who knows what will happen?
