WEtv Stars Arrest Details Unfold
Here is what we know so far about Life After Lockup star Derek Warner’s recent arrest. On Tuesday, Monique Robinson was reportedly waiting outside in the car for her boyfriend to exit a downtown Cleveland Ohio restaurant.
At 3:51 pm on Tuesday, March 28, he was taken into custody after exiting the establishment and taken to the Lorain County jail where he is being charged with felonious assault.
The Life After Lockup star spent about an hour at the jailhouse and bonded out on a $10,000 bond. Later that evening he responded to his arrest calling it a “minor setback.”
He continues to tell his followers that the felonious assault charges stem from “an old charge from his previous lockup in 2021.”
He states that it is nothing new. Per Derek’s attorney, Eric C. Nemecek’s statement the Life After Lockup cast member was indicted on March 17, 2023. He writes, “The charge relates to an altercation that occurred two years ago while Derek was still incarcerated.”
And the letter continues, “The other party involved in the incident was another inmate at the same facility. To be clear, there are no current allegations that Derek has committed any crimes since he was released from prison nearly 8 months ago.”
Lastly, “Derek takes this matter very seriously and fully intends to defend himself against these allegations. He will continue to abide by the terms of his Federal and State parole throughout this legal process as he has done consistently since his initial release.”
