‘Life After Lockup’: Aris & Cameron’s Marriage Gets Off to Rocky Start
Life After Lockup‘s new season begins airing Friday, February 24. Fans of the WEtv reality show Love After Lockup will be interested to see that the newly married couple, Aris Morton and Cameron Morton‘s story, will continue on the popular network spinoff this season.
Everything about their relationship has been chaotic and rushed. But now that their union is legal, they both wonder if they may have made a colossal mistake jumping into it so fast.
Life After Lockup: Is Marriage Over for Cameron Morton & His Wife Aris Morton Already?
Aris may have agreed to marry her Life After Lockup boyfriend, Cameron, without thinking about what she may be getting herself into.
But now that they are officially married, he is not concerned about what his partner, Aris Morton, thinks about his lifestyle. Twenty-four hours after their wedding ceremony, the spouses disagree on critical issues.
Cameron is raring to go to a family get-together. He wants everyone who did not attend their wedding ceremony to meet his new bride. But she is not feeling another party so soon. She tells her spouse she feels sick from overindulging the night before. She is too exhausted to get out of bed.
This is not working well with her Life After Lockup husband. He is angry and feels she should get ready and attend the gathering regardless.
But Aris stands her ground and tells him to go on without her. He finally agrees, but he is angry with her. Many viewers believe this sets an ominous tone very early in their marriage.
WEtv Wife Sets Boundaries with New Husband
Cameron Morton does not mince words with his family during the party. Instead, he tells them Aris does not want to join them. Naturally, this gets his relatives all worked up.
They consider it a significant snub and continue getting the Life After Lockup parolee riled up about his wife’s decision to bail on him.
As the evening goes on, he continues to knock back drink after drink. Finally, he has reached the point of no return and is so intoxicated he has no idea what he is saying or doing. Somehow, he manages to get back to the hotel.
When he falls into bed she begins questioning him. She tells Cameron she doesn’t want him in her bed, and his reaction is unpleasant. He responds by throwing his wedding ring at her and telling her to “divorce him then.”
Aris doesn’t give up and somehow manages to convince him to get out of bed and sleep on the couch in the other room. She had told him she did not want to deal with his drinking before the wedding. However, she adds she has boundaries and plans on sticking to them.
Life After Lockup: Cameron Reveals His True Colors to Aris
Cameron of Life After Lockup wakes up to his bride nagging him to get up. She is getting ready to leave and go back to Florida.
He is not too receptive to her disrupting her sleep, so she walks out and slams the door. When he gets his wits about him, he calls her phone to find out she is in the lobby having coffee.
So he wants to talk to her but quickly realizes he is without his wedding ring. The two talk things through, but Aris tells him she has no plans on dealing with this side of him again.
So, they leave things on a tense note. However, the Life After Lockup promo video shows that Cameron is not quite ready to change his ways, at least not immediately.
One clip shows the spouses in a heated argument, he says he is “in charge of this relationship.” But she quickly responds by telling him he needs to “back the f*** up out of her face.”
His Life After Lockup bride quickly lets him know she will not continue in this marriage with him if this is how he chooses to live.
If these are Cameron Morton’s true colors, then Aris Morton doesn’t plan on sticking around. They have a lot to work through if this union will last. One or both will have to commit to significant changes soon.
