When Will New Young and the Restless Episodes Be on the Air?

This week’s debut of new Bold and the Beautiful episodes has CBS soap fans excited. B&B debuted its first new episode on July 20 after months of reruns. They resumed regularly filming in mid-June after a start, stop, and restart. So, that’s about four weeks from tape to air.

Can Young and the Restless do the same and offer new episodes in mid-August? That seems a long shot since it’s a more complicated show with a bigger cast and many more plots going at once. However, it’s reasonable to think they might hit a six-week filming to air gap.

So, when will Young and the Restless new episodes air? Our estimate is the week of August 25-29. However, maybe the editors will kick into ultra-high gear and get them back on the air before then. Fingers crossed. We’ll update you here on spoilers as the time nears.

Special Shooting Restraints on Y&R – Outdoors, No Makeup, What Clothes?

Some things to watch for in fresh Young and the Restless episodes include that they’re shooting many scenes outdoors. Victor Newman actor Eric Braeden mentioned it’s part of their compliance with COVID restrictions. So, maybe we’ll see Victor boxing outdoors or in the stables.

Also, we’ve heard that Young and the Restless actors can’t get star hair and makeup treatment for now. So, watch for the male stars to be all-natural and doing their own hair. Thankfully, the men don’t have elaborate hairdos and can go without cosmetics.

As for the actresses on Young and the Restless, we’ve heard they’ll be doing their own makeup and hairdos. And given social distance constraints, they can’t even help one another. Our source also said actors might wear some of their own clothes as part of wardrobe efforts.

What to Expect on Young and the Restless When New Episodes Air

Official Y&R spoilers are a few weeks away. But, our inside source says to expect couple break-ups for everyone except Victor and his wife. We should see the Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) double murder plots wrap soon. Plus, Theo Vanderway’s (Tyer Johnson) is back.

It’ll be no shock on Young and the Restless if Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) splits with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz). She can never keep a man. Plus, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) may try and steal Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan), our source says.
