‘General Hospital’ Twist: Heather Webber a Copycat Hook? Real Killer Still Hidden?
General Hospital spoilers hint that Heather Webber may not be the real Hook Killer, and the real culprit is still not revealed on the ABC soap. Is this an epic twist or sloppy writing on GH?
Heather Webber as the Hook Killer Makes no Sense on General Hospital
Remember, it was just a few weeks ago that Heather Webber (Alley Mills) found out her daughter is in Port Charles. It was Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) who revealed that their daughter is Esme Prince (Avery Pohl).
And in General Hospital recaps, Ryan told his ex-lover that Esme found him thanks to a trinket she stole from him. So, if that’s when she found out her daughter was in Port Charles, why would she have been killing Esme’s enemies?
On the most recent GH, the psycho told Heather he should have realized she was the Hook. But is she really? Since she only recently discovered that Esme was her kid, why would Franco’s mom have hooked all those people?
The past victims of the Hook are all tied around Esme’s antics and Trina Robinson‘s (Tabyana Ali) trial. But why would Heather care about any of those people BEFORE she found out Esme’s her daughter?
The answer is that she wouldn’t. That’s why Ms. Webber as the Hook Killer doesn’t make much sense on General Hospital. So, is there a twist ahead and the real killer is yet to be revealed? That would make much more sense.
Did the Psycho Fake a Hook Attack to Draw Attention off Esme Prince on GH?
Heather Webber learned from Ryan on GH that Esme was missing, and they committed to finding their daughter. And that was back in mid-December. Back then, Chamberlain told his baby mama that Esme went over the parapet.
He suspects that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) might be responsible for their daughter going missing. After that, the Hook Killer attacked the animal smuggler who provided the venom. And also Rory Cabrera (Michael Kruse).
If the smuggler could ID the Hook Killer, it makes sense they needed to die. And Rory was just in the wrong place at the wrong time on General Hospital. These two kills do make sense if Heather Webber’s the real Hook Killer.
And the attack on Ava Jerome (Maura West) also makes some sense for Heather. After all, she might be jealous that Ryan still carries a torch for the blond gallery owner. But others that were attacked make no sense.
Why would she come after Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy)? Or stalk Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) since she didn’t know about Ms. Prince being her daughter back then. And killing Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) doesn’t align either.
Will General Hospital Stick with Heather as the Culprit on General Hospital?
Spoilers tease that the only way all the Hook Killer victims align to Heather Webber is if she lied to Ryan — and already knew who their daughter was. If she lied to his face and she’s known Esme was her kid all along — then Heather as the Hook makes sense.
But if she didn’t know, then this serial killer plot has serious holes in it that can never be explained by the writers! The big question on General Hospital is whether Heather Webber committed a copycat crime to draw attention from her daughter.
Once she and Ryan find out their kid is in the hospital, if she kills again, it should exonerate Esme. And attacking Joss at the pier is logical as a crime for Heather — but only after learning from Ryan who their daughter is.
So, we’re left wondering. Is this just sloppy writing and they’ll try and justify things later? Or is there another twist ahead and someone else is the real Hook Killer, and Heather Webber is just copycatting to save her daughter?
There are two women on Victor Cassadine‘s (Charles Shaughnessy) payroll that makes sense. One is the assistant DA who failed to convict Trina. She could be killing off everyone involved in the trial on General Hospital.
Also, the Deputy Mayor is another of Vic’s minions who might be killing at his behest. In the end, it feels like another GH serial killer plot with a culprit that doesn’t fit the crime. Wait to see if GH has another twist coming and Heather’s just a psychotically violent red herring (or lied to her baby daddy’s face).
