General Hospital spoilers hint Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) will soon be getting a love interest. After years in prison, he’s probably ready for some romance in his life. And there are several prospects available to him — some on the current character canvas and a couple that is not. Who will be the next lady to catch the handsome ex-mobster’s eye on the ABC soap?
General Hospital Spoilers: Shawn Butler & Alexis Davis Romance Sparks Again?
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is an obvious choice for Shawn Butler’s new love interest on General Hospital. You may recall these two were involved before on GH. Shawn dated Alexis years ago back when he was a hitman for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). But, when he was suspected of shooting Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) — while aiming for Franco — it was too much for Alexis.
Now on General Hospital, she reconnected with Shawn at Pentonville. There, he helped make prison more bearable for Alexis and they became close again. She even helped him with his release from prison. Once he was free and Alexis transferred to Spring Ridge, he visited her there.
Shawn wants to hear Nikolas say the words. Will he ever get the closure he's searching for?

Working with the disbarred lawyer, Shawn Butler eventually figured out that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) had Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) shot. But, he covered his tracks and remains unpunished on General Hospital. Recently, Alexis got a pardon thanks to Nik — and is home in Port Charles.
This could be the perfect time for Alexis Davis to fall for Shawn all over again on General Hospital. She is now sober and trying to stay that way. Shawn Butler made it clear that he no longer wants to work for the mob. And that was the only thing that split them before. The chemistry between these former prison-mates may start heating up on GH. A Vibe Between Shawn & Nina Reeves on General Hospital
Nina Reeves is in a very bad place at present. She’s a Port Charles town pariah on the ABC weekday drama. But when Shawn Butler saw her at Charlie’s Pub, he struck up a friendly conversation. Shawn’s one of the very few people not judging Nina over the amnesiac Sonny debacle.
He did not care about her past and Nina appreciated this. There may be some interest there from both of them. And, he is reformed into a truly nice guy on General Hospital which would be a refreshing change for Nina. What makes them especially interesting as a potential couple is how closely both are tied to the local mob boss.

Sonny Corinthos noticed Shawn talking to Nina from across the room at Charlie’s. It looked like the General Hospital mobster was a little jealous of Nina talking to his old friend. Shawn romancing Nina could be a good distraction for both of them. It may also cause more upheaval because Sonny clearly still has feelings for Nina.
Jordan Ashford Recast Romances her Baby Daddy on GH?
Jordan Ashford (Briana Henry) recently left General Hospital. She left for Albany for dialysis because of a near-death incident, which affected her one remaining kidney. Soap Dirt confirmed that the actress is gone for good, but the character may return. A Jordan recast is a definite possibility. Recall, Briana was second in the role, as a recast to replace Vinessa Antoine.
If Jordan returns to General Hospital, she might want to be with her ex-husband, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) again. But Curtis has moved on with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Shawn Butler and Jordan Ashford have a past. He is the biological father of her son, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow). She cheated with Shawn while married to Curtis’ brother Tommy Ashford.
But, Shawn did not find out about TJ’s paternity until their son was 18 years old. Recall, on General Hospital, Shawn and Jordan reunited when she first came to Port Chuck. But her undercover work and his mob affiliation ultimately drove them apart. So, if they recast Jordan, she could reunite with Shawn Butler. A third time might be the charm for this GH couple.
