Nikolas Cassadine Saves Spencer Cassadine? ‘General Hospital’ Rumor (VIDEO)

Today, we’re addressing the General Hospital rumor surrounding Marcus Coloma‘s potential return as Nikolas Cassadine to save Spencer Cassadine.

Last we saw, Nik was in a precarious situation, and now fans are speculating about his future on the show. We’re here to clear up the rumors about Coloma’s comeback.

General Hospital Rumor: Marcus Coloma Returns as Nikolas Cassadine

Hey there ABC Soap Opera fans. Today, we want to talk about a GH rumor that is going around. And it’s about Marcus Coloma, who of course played Nikolas Cassadine up until his recent exit.

And you remember that last we saw Nikolas, he’d been taken away by Austin Gatlin-Holt’s creepy cousin, Mason. Now, Nik’s in a coma and he’s being kept somewhere. So let’s dig into this rumor about a possible return for Nikolas Cassadine.

So, the rumor that’s making its way around the blogosphere is that Marcus Coloma will be back as Nikolas and that Nikolas is gonna be the one to save Spencer Cassadine and Trina Robinson from Uncle Victor Cassadine.

And while that is a great idea, I will tell you that I think we have to debunk this, for many reasons. Let’s dig into this idle chatter about what’s coming on General Hospital.

No Signs That Marcus Coloma Will Return to GH as Nik

First and foremost, Marcus Coloma is gone from the role. There is no sign that he came back to film more. As a matter of fact, he didn’t finish filming his final scenes. They brought back Adam Huss to film it.

Marcus said that he had been sick and that’s why he couldn’t finish it. And then there were rumors that he was mad that his character was being written out and he deliberately didn’t finish it.

You know, that’s back behind-the-scenes backstage stuff that we’re not gonna know what happened. But the bottom line is, it sounds like that there might be some hard feelings, at least right now. And so that’s the first reason that I doubt he’s coming back.

The second reason that I don’t think Nikolas is gonna come back right now is that there’s nothing on Marcus’s IMDB page indicating that he is back.

His most recent GH credit is January 2023 when he left. And there’s no new activity related to General Hospital on his IMDB page. That’s the second thing.

Nikolas is in No Shape to Save Spencer Cassadine on General Hospital

And then from a character perspective, Nikolas was bludgeoned. Recall, Ava Jerome bludgeoned Nikolas because he had threatened her daughter. And she was not gonna have that. Then, she shoved him into the closet.

Then they moved him to like out to the stables and then he got taken. And that’s when Mason took him. So, the bottom line is he probably has like a traumatic brain injury.

So, he’s not up to roaming around and going after the Haunted Star on the high seas. I don’t think he’s in any shape to rescue anyone. And further, from a plot perspective, there’s nothing aside from Victor name-dropping him.

Victor told Spencer Cassadine, “You’re just as big a disappointment as your father.” There’s been no indication that we’re gonna see Nikolas Cassadine. Although, I mean, it would be great. I loved the character.

And I loved Tyler Christopher in the role, and I really liked Marcus Coloma in the role. Of course, I’d love to have either of them back. And I think it would be great to see the dynamic with Baby Ace and all that, but it just doesn’t feel like it’s happening.

Rumor Runs Rampant About Marcus Coloma Return to ABC Soap Opera

But this General Hospital rumor’s running rampant. So, we wanted to explain and debunk it. But here is some exciting news. If you were hoping to see Nikolas reunite with Victor, it is kind of happening in real life.

And depending on when you’re listening to this, you might be able to see it. So, Marcus Coloma revealed that he and Charles Shaughnessy, who plays Victor Cassadine, and Kathleen Gati, who plays Liesl Obrecht, are all appearing together.

They’ll be together at Uncle Vinnie’s Comedy Club. There is one in New Jersey and one in Philly. And they are doing appearances on May 6th and May 7th.

So, if you really need a Victor and Nikolas fix plus Dr. O as a bonus, tickets are for sale for their appearances in New Jersey and Philadelphia. Recently, Marcus Coloma promoted it, talking about him and his buddy, “Charlie” (aka Charles Shaughnessy), appearing.

And so again, these rumors are fun to indulge and consider. Wouldn’t it be great to have Nikolas back? Would it be great to see him swoop in and save Spencer? Yes.

But based on his departure from GH and the lack of storyline clues… And then the way they exited him and Adam Huss’s recast for final scenes… I feel like if they were gonna do that, we’d probably get Huss back.

But it seems a long shot that Marcus Coloma is back. A lot of people loved the Marcus Coloma recast on General Hospital. I did. I love Tyler Christopher, but when there’s a good recast, it can rock.

I’ve been deeply attached to the character and enjoyed both of the core actors that played him. But if you’re hoping to see Marcus Coloma back as Nikolas Cassadine, don’t hold your breath!
