‘General Hospital’: How Will Nikolas Cassadine Leave – Death or Dastardly Deed by Uncle Victor?
General Hospital let Nikolas Cassadine‘s portrayer Marcus Coloma go recently. So, will the legacy character exit GH for good, or is there a recast coming? Check out some possibilities for the fate of the dark prince on the ABC daytime drama.
General Hospital: Nikolas Cassadine Dead Again
Recently, the news broke that Marcus Coloma is set to exit GH as brooding prince Nikolas Cassadine. His final airdate will be at the end of January 2023. Recently, Marcus spoke out about his exit.
He shared that he’s incredibly sad to see his time as Nikolas come to an end. Moreover, Marcus chooses not to film his final scenes as Nik. So, it will throw a wrench in the current General Hospital plots. Of course, this news begs the question — what will happen to Nikolas now?
He’s in the middle of some heavy storylines. So, one of them may be tweaked to work around Marcus’ exit. And there’s a chance it could involve Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).
Indeed, Nik is on his uncle’s bad side, recall General Hospital recaps. Especially now that Ava Jerome (Maura West) wants to clean him out in their divorce.
Then, there’s the drama with Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). Plus, Vic is bound to find out about the Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) debacle soon.
So, Victor may feel that Nik is more trouble than his worth. And he might get rid of his nephew. The villain could very well kill Nikolas. Or he may stash him wherever he’s hiding Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) on General Hospital.
Dark Prince Goes Missing on GH
Nikolas Cassadine might soon wind up his evil uncle’s next prisoner. Victor is notorious for holding people captive instead of killing them. That way, he can use them as leverage against his enemies.
So, he might hold Nikolas hostage. Another option is that The Hook might get him. And that may also be tied to Victor. Indeed, the Hook Killer is a woman.
But it looks like Vic is controlling her. And General Hospital spoilers suspect that she’s none other than Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby (Heather Mazur). So, Vic may send her after Nikolas.
Even if Nik turns up to be alive, it will buy the showrunners some time. Then, they can figure out what to do next. There’s a good chance the character will be recast, but he might disappear on GH in the meantime.
Nik Runs off with Esme Prince on General Hospital
GH may write Nikolas Cassadine off for the time being, and one way to do that is with Esme. He still plans to send the pregnant teen villainess to Cassadine Island in Greece after she has his baby.
So, he may decide to join her. Nikolas may feel it’s best for everyone if he leaves town because he’s causing his loved ones nothing but heartache on General Hospital.
His son Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) is done with him. Plus, he’s making Elizabeth’s life miserable. So, Nik may think the best thing to do is get out of Port Charles and take Esme with him.
However, it’s a risky plan because Esme could quickly turn on him. And his life may be in jeopardy on GH. So, be sure not to miss a minute of the ABC soap to see what comes next for Nikolas Cassadine. Will he survive? Watch and see.
