DOOL comings and goings hinted for months that Philip Kiriakis could return to Salem to take over his father’s business. But currently, only a few people know that he’s receiving psychiatric care at a mental hospital.
After all, he did go off the deep end by faking his death and trying to blame his rival for the “murder.”. Now, with his mother gone, he could soon be released from the facility on Days of our Lives.
In fact, Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) want to tell him of Kate’s death. During a jailhouse visit from Rex, Lucas tells him about Philip’s hospital stay. Rex agrees to go to their brother to break the heartbreaking news about their mom.
Yet the scene between the brothers may be off the canvas. Months ago, Peacock fans started an online petition to get Jay Kenneth Johnson back as Philip Kiriakis. Days viewers love his character portrayal and would hate to see a recast.
