‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Douglas Manipulates His Stupid Parents

Bold and the Beautiful spoilers have Douglas Forrester as one intelligent little fellow who refuses to add to the fighting between his parents on the CBS soap. His mature level of thinking also won’t let him hurt either one of his parents.

So, for the sake of harmony, he didn’t pick either of them to live with when given the choice. Or is something more at play here for the young Forrester son?

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Douglas Forrester’s Kindness Drives His Decision?

Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) picked his aunt, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to live with this week on B&B. Despite Steffy’s home not being one of the choices on the table, he made it his choice.

This decision solves a few problems in the little guy’s mind. Although he is mature for his age, it seems his parents forget that he’s still a kid by putting him in this position.

But the kid-thinking surfaced in the aftermath of his decision on Bold and the Beautiful this week. Plus that fighting that Douglas wanted to avoid only amps up due to his choice of a new home and family.

So, the kindness in Douglas seemed to drive the bus on what he decided on in court. But it looks like there’s more to it than meets the eye as Bold and the Beautiful episodes roll out this week.

B&B Spoilers: What Were They Thinking?

Once the big picture reveals itself, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) finds herself stunned. The same goes for Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) as well. But soon the adults will likely realize that they’ve made a very stupid move.

When Douglas sat in the judge’s office this week, even she said this was highly unusual. A child of his age is not usually tasked with making such a life-altering decision. But this is Bold and the Beautiful, and they take liberties by bringing things to a level you won’t always find in real life.

Both Hope and Thomas thought they were pulling one over on each other. Thomas became self-assured that his son would choose him. So, he made the court papers enticing enough for Hope to sign.

Once Hope Logan read what the legal documents said, she became overjoyed. To her, it was a gift. She went overboard with enthusiasm on Bold and the Beautiful about Thomas making this easy.

The way the document was worded indicated that she would gain full-time custody if her son picked her. So, she lightly grilled Douglas Forrester about who he’d like to live with.

The youngster said that he would pick his mom to live with. This undoubtedly gave Hope a false sense of security, which was basically how Thomas walked into the judge’s chambers as well. Both B&B parents were very self-assured that they would gain custody of their son.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Clues of Douglas’ Mindset Pop Up

B&B joggled back and forth between certain scenes this week, giving hints of what really drove Douglas Forrester’s decision.

Finn and his mom, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) were at home while Steffy was at the courthouse. John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Li talked about the Forrester youngster at length on Bold and the Beautiful.

Finn made it clear how close he’s gotten to his cousin, Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay). He talked about how much fun the young man had when he visited.

But something that Finn mentioned was also something Douglas mentioned at the courthouse. This offers a huge clue that there’s another reason why he picked Aunt Steffy to live with.

Douglas put Steffy’s name on that notepad the judge gave him to write down his decision on Bold and the Beautiful. When asked to explain why he did this, he said he didn’t want to hurt either one of his parents’ feelings. So, that’s the mature Douglas coming through.

B&B Spoilers: The Kid in Douglas Surfaces

Once the mature Douglas gave his reasons, the little kid surfaced within the young Forrester son. Then it seems like another reason for his choice came through loud and clear. That was an unfinished project he was working on with Kelly.

This is something Finn also mentioned this week on Bold and the Beautiful. He also described how intrigued his nephew appeared over this project he started with Kelly.

Douglas told his aunt in the court office that if he lived with her, he and Kelly could work on this project. This seemed to reveal there was more to this lad’s choice than anyone first thought.

With that said, just maybe a bit of the Forrester manipulation gene poked through. But he’s also a kid and kids try to manipulate their parents from time to time. So, it looks as if he may end up at Steffy’s house yet, as she wrestles with what to do about all this. Her dilemma plays out in the video above.

Still, this seemed like an unintentional slap in the face to his parents. But many B&B viewers may argue that they needed the slap. This also seems to prove that letting a kid of Douglas Forrester’s age decide on where he’ll live is a move that reeks of stupidity on the CBS soap.
