‘Below Deck’ Rhylee Gerber Returns as New Deck Hand – Fans React

On Below Deck, Rhylee Gerber is back and Abbi Murphy jumped ship last week after a proposal from her boyfriend via text message. Below Deck fans took to social media to predict who would replace Abbi on deck. On Monday’s show Captain Lee Rosbach revealed that it’s fan favorite Rhylee Gerber. The fiery Alaskan was on deck in season 6 as the only female exterior. Rhylee’s return is definitely getting a lot of reaction.

Rhylee Gerber Returns to Below Deck

The exterior crew faces challenges. Abbi Murphy quit half way through. Tanner Sterback was out battling a nasty stomach virus while Brian de Saint Pern now has a knee injury. The captain made a cryptic call on episode 6 to get a replacement. The internet went crazy with theories of who would be coming on board. Rhylee Gerber was an obvious choice. But kept mum online leading fans to second guess whether it was her.

On Below Deck, Lee tells bosun Ashton Pienaar he’s got a new crew member on the way. Ashton asks to see their CV. Captain says you already know it. “It’s Rhylee”. Ashton’s reaction is “You have got to be f*cking kidding me”. Fans know that the Alaskan native and fishing boat captain can hold her own with the guys. And isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Rhylee clashed with season 6 bosun Chandler Brooks. He was fired by Captain Lee and replaced by Ross Inia.

Rhylee Addresses Fans On Instagram

After it was revealed on Below Deck that Rhylee would be taking over the deck hand spot she broke her silence on her Instagram story. Rhylee tells fans “she’s not going anywhere b*tches”. She said it was a tough secret to keep. But she’s excited to be back at a chance for “another 15 minutes”. Rhylee Gerber says fans can expect “more of the same from her but also maybe a little different”. Rhylee expresses surprise at all the support she’s getting, especially on Twitter.

Certainly, Rhylee Gerber has clashed with bosun Ashton Pieenar in the past.  Captain Lee tells him to see if “she’s learned anything.” Previews for next week show Rhylee arriving to report for duty on super yacht Valor. And shaking things up on and off the boat. With the deck crew complete, fans can look forward to lots more drama on the high seas. Below Deck airs Monday’s at 9 PM on Bravo.
