90 Day Fiance: What’s Wrong with Jenny Slatten?
90 Day Fiance features Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh, who want to bring their relationship to the next level by getting married. This is hard for the couple to do because they need the approval of Sumit’s family. But his parents disapprove of the age difference. Jenny is 63 and Sumit is 33, which is not widely accepted in Indian culture. Sadhna Singh and Anil Singh also worry about how the community will judge them.
Anil says he worries that if they go through with the marriage, the entire family will get shunned by their social group. Sadhna wants a woman for her son who can live up to the expectations she sets for a traditional Indian homemaker. Unfortunately, she does not think Jenny can meet her standards.
TLC Star Opens Her Home
90 Day Fiance shows that Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh still fighting for their relationship. In order to try and get his parents on board with their marriage, they come to an agreement. During a family therapy session, Sadhna Singh and Anil Singh agree to live with Jenny and Sumit temporarily. Sadhna says she will teach her everything that she expects of an Indian wife. If her standards can be met, then maybe she will consider giving her blessing.
Of course, this makes Jenny uneasy, but she agrees to let them move in for a short time. She soon realizes that having them there is not an easy task. On her first day with Sumit’s parents, she learns Sadhna’s expectations are high. Sadhna does not approve of the condition of the home. She thinks that watermarks on the coffee table are a sign that the home is not clean, and that is unacceptable. She makes her start in the kitchen by sweeping. Jenny is upset and not happy with this arrangement. Sumit, on the other hand, is happy that the house is getting cleaner.
90 Day Fiance: The Other Way: Jenny Gets Help Cooking
90 Day Fiance shows Jenny Slatten making an effort with Sadhna Singh. She is hopeful that by making dinner together will show she is trying. However, Sumit Singh is nervous about this and says it’s a good thing they don’t speak the same language. Sadhna taught her how to cook a traditional potato curry. Jenny thinks things are going well because Sadhna has a smile on her face when they talk. But what fans see is something completely different.

Jenny admits that she is not a very good cook. With a smile on Sadhna’s face, she says to Jenny, “You don’t know anything. You are useless”. Sadhna says this in Hindi and Jenny doesn’t understand what she is saying, so she just laughs. Sumit was right – it’s good they don’t speak the same language.

Jenny Slatten from 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way helps serve dinner with Sadhna Singh. During the dinner, Jenny learns from Sumit Singh that cooking with Sadhna did not go as smoothly as she thought, Soap Dirt reports. Sadhna says it didn’t seem like Jenny was interested in cooking at all. Sadhna says it’s not just cooking and cleaning that she is worried about. She asks Jenny that if they do get married, will she be able to handle people in the community calling her names and making fun of her.
Jenny thinks that Sumit’s parents are not being respectful in her home. Due to miscommunication, she thought that they were making fun of her. Sadhna says that is not the case and they were warning her about the criticism she will endure if she married Sumit. Sadhna still doesn’t think Jenny is up to the task of being a good Indian wife. Will she ever be able to live up to their expectations?
