’90 Day Fiance’: Sumit’s Parents Wreck His and Jenny’s Relationship

90 Day Fiance star Jenny Slatten‘s may end things with Sumit Singh because of his parents, Anil and Sadhna Singh.  Sumit’s mom and dad may finally get their son back like they have always wanted.

90 Day Fiance: Jenny Slatten Has No Cooking Skills

After some convincing, Jenny Slatten agreed to let Sumit Singh’s parents stay with them for a short period of time. Sadhna said that she wanted to teach Jenny to be a “traditional Indian housewife”. Jenny was very hesitant, but hoped it would bring them all closer together and make Sumit happy.

From the moment her future in-laws arrived, they criticized Jenny’s dirty kitchen. They instructed her to clean up right in front of them. This made Jenny angry, but Sumit was happy that the kitchen was being cleaned.

The next lesson Sadhna gave her future daughter-in-law was cooking. The two women tried to work in the kitchen together to make a traditional Indian meal for the four of them. Jenny Slatten clearly had very little cooking skills, which did not make Sumit’s mother happy at all.

But Jenny thought the lesson was going well. Sadhna smiled while she insulted the other woman in Hindi. Jenny thought she was being complimented the whole time, which made her happy. But Sumit’s mom called her “useless” and made fun of her on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way.

It wasn’t until they sat down to eat when Sumit told his fiancé what was really going on.

Sumit’s parents continued to insult Jenny while they ate. They told Sumit in Hindi that they were afraid that society would make fun of his fiancé’s age. They also felt that she would never be able to learn how to be a proper Indian daughter-in-law.

Sumit translated this all to his fiancé. He also added the bombshell that his own dream is to live happily with her and his parents all together.

This was certainly news to Jenny. Sumit had never told her these feelings. She was under the impression that they had been happily living alone, and that is the way it would continue. She cannot wait for his parents to leave and never return.

The Other Way: Is This the Last Straw for Jenny?

This is not the first time Sumit Singh has lied to Jenny on 90 Day Fiance. Their relationship began when Sumit cat fished her with a lie about who he really was. Later on, he married another woman that was arranged by his parents. He kept this from Jenny while continuing their relationship and she moved to India. He has also been promising to marry her for years, which has not happened.

Now, he announces that he would like he and his future wife to live with his parents, which he has never said before.

Jenny and Sumit’s parents do not get along. They do not approve of her and probably never will. Living with them for just a few days has possibly made this relationship worse.

It may be time for Jenny to pack up and move back to the United States to be with her own children. If Sumit insists on living with his parents, Jenny could realize that this relationship is never going to go the way she wants it to.
