90 Day Fiance: Jenny Slatten Retires Early

Jenny Slatten opens up about retiring. Before calling it quits, the 90 Day Fiance reality star worked for about 42 years. At the time, she was 60 years old.

Jenny was told by the social security department that she was retiring too early. They said that she wouldn’t be getting her full pension. However, she wanted to move to India to be with Sumit Singh. So, she decided to take the pay cut and go ahead and retire anyway.

Jenny Slatten feels it was a great decision. The 90 Day Fiance cast member is happy and “financially well off.”

However, Jenny also thanks the show for being able to afford a good life in India. She explains that the cost of living in the country is much lower than it is in America. She feels she could have never retired if she still lived in Palm Springs, California.

Jenny Enjoys Traveling with Sumit Singh

Jenny Slatten reveals that she has a “great life” after retiring early. She suggests that if someone thinks it’s beneficial to retire early, they should. She believes people shouldn’t work themselves to the ground and should enjoy their life.

Jenny also has some suggestions about what people can do in retirement. The 90 Day Fiance reality star says they can travel wherever and whenever they want to.

You can find a hobby or “pick up something to do.” She also suggests making friends to hang out with. She even feels it’s the perfect time to make things to sell.

However, traveling is what the TLC star chooses to do. She and Sumit Singh love traveling together. Since they are living in India, they like to travel from state to state. They are currently living in North India. But they enjoy seeing the other parts of the country.

90 Day Fiance Celeb Doesn’t Want Husband to Work

Jenny Slatten may be retired. But her husband, Sumit Singh, still wants to work. In the latest season of Happily Ever After, they argue over his wanting to get back to work.

He feels that he is still young and should have a job. He wants to make his own money and not rely on his wife’s income to support them.

Sumit does go back to work. The 90 Day Fiance cast member works in the food industry with his friend. However, Jenny gets upset when her husband spends more time at work than at home with her. She also doesn’t like that he goes out drinking with his friends after work.

Jenny and Sumit are still together, living in India. It’s not clear if he’s still working his food job. But they are still doing a lot of traveling. So, the couple doesn’t seem to be counting pennies. And her decision to retire early worked out for her in the end.
