90 Day Fiance: Did Jenny & Sumit Pave the Way for Other Couples?
While new seasons of 90 Day Fiance bring new faces to the spotlight, some tales are as old as time. The infamous couple Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh made their debut on the first season of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way.
We are reminded of them when we watch some of this season’s cast members struggle with similar trials and tribulations. Luckily, there is much to learn from the Indian-American couple as we see how they are still going strong four years later.
Jenny Slatten Walked so Debbie Aguero Could Run?
With the introduction of the new age-defying couple Debbie Aguero, 67 and Oussama Berber, 24 from 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, we cannot forget about their predecessors Jenny and Sumit who share a three-decade age gap.
Debbie hopes her fate with Oussama with end up in marriage too, though he has yet pop the question. Jenny and Sumit have addressed their age difference recently and said, “it’s no big deal.” This was far from the case in earlier seasons.

Jenny, 65 and Sumit 35, are now constantly posting silly photos on Instagram from their home in India. Some fans have said they look so happy it’s as if they are even aging in reverse.
“If something is making you happy, and you’re comfortable with it, and it’s working, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. The truth of the matter is you can’t please everybody.”
Should Rishi Singh Worry About Being Kidnapped by His Family Like Sumit Singh?
The reoccurring theme of family drama in 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, seems to be playing out in similar ways with new couple Rishi Singh and Jennifer Boecher, as it did with Sumit and Jenny. Rishi is keeping his love secret and his family initially met his girlfriend Jen as “a friend.”
This is starting out almost identically as things did with Jenny and Sumit Singh. When the truth finally came out with them it was a reality TV disaster of epic proportions. His mother even threatened to kill herself if the couple ever were to marry.

His family went to extreme measures keep him from her including taking him away to a secret location indefinitely. She was left all alone in a complete panic. His friend explained to her that this was a legal practice in India.
90 Day Fiance fans were shocked to say the least. And now that fans are aware of this possibility, the questions becomes, would Rishi’s family do the same thing.
Over time, forgiveness, acceptance agreeing to never be in the same room, lead to compromise. While the things are not perfect between Jenny and Sumit’s family, they have definitely come a long way.
All but his mother have given their blessing to his now, wife. Jenny is welcome at events as long as her mother-in-law is not in attendance.
Happy and chill seems to be the new status quo with The 90 Day couple. Is this because Jenny no longer has to see her husbands mother. Maybe absence really does make the heart grow fonder.
90 Day Fiance: How is the TLC Couple Now?
The retiree and her husband have been spending lots of their time on Instagram sharing new outfits, makeovers of her youthful new style. As far as location, Jenny has revealed her desire to move back to America.
Sadly, says she feels lonely without her family in India. Sumit has made huge changes with his parents but still refuses to “leave them behind” and go to the US with his wife.
So, while they have yet to strike a balance where both could share time internationally. they do seem to be living quite happily, for now The Other Way.

90 Day Fiance viewers don’t have to miss out on watching Jenny and Sumit as they have appeared on TLC’s Pillow Talk season four. Viewers get to watch them discuss current The Other Way couples.
According to fans, in this spinoff, we get to see them “unfiltered and unedited.” And they obviously have some expert experience to speak on. Who else but Sumit can say their family kidnapped them. Not to mention she has sheepishly charmed her way to truly becoming a fan favorite!
