90 Day Fiance: Ashley Martson Files for Divorce from Jay Smith – Fakes Happy Ending on Social Media?

90 Day Fiance Ashley Martson is divorcing Jay Smith. The split that’s been rumored for weeks is now official. The pair on-and-off ghosted each other on social, stopped doing Cameo videos together, and purged each other from their Insta histories.

But then recently they started posting loved up pics again, were spotted at a party, and now this. It turns out Ashley filed divorce weeks ago while both were denying a split. So did Ashley and Jay keep the divorce on the down low to keep cashing TLC checks?

90 Day Fiance News: Ashley Martson and Jay Smith Done – Tea Still Spilling

Ashley Martson filed divorce on January 11. Interestingly, that’s the same day fellow TLC cast member Colt Johnson filed papers to divorce Larissa Christina after her third arrest. 90 Day Fiance Jonathan Rivera also filed divorce. Seems no one is getting a happy ending.

This divorce confirmation comes on the heels of Ashley’s former BFF Natalie Crawford spilling tea to YouTuber Auntie’s Advice. Natalie went on record to say that the “crash the wedding” storyline in Las Vegas was fabricated to boost ratings. Further, they were all in on the ruse.

90 Day Fiance Ashley Martson revealed that she and Jay Smith married a week prior to the Las Vegas trip in Pennsylvania. Add this to the fake wedding that took place in Jamaica in front of Jay’s family and friends. There’s just so much fraud alleged by Natalie and our sources behind the scenes at TLC.

90 Day Fiance: Ashley and Jay Scheme for TLC Money?

After the fake weddings and contrived storylines, Ashley Martson filing for divorce from Jay Smith is definitely the real deal. Yet it seems both Ashley and Jay aren’t happy with the leaked news of their divorce. The couple haven’t been on the same page for weeks.

Just as the divorce news leaked, both posted happier throwback couple pics on their Instagram accounts. They both included a link on their profiles to a write-up about their official split. Plus, Ashley is clearly unhappy asking on one snap “Who the f*** is leaking all this s***?”.

Not So Happily Ever After

The chatter is that Ashley and Jay Smith are on the new season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After. This latest leak certainly throws a wrench into the show’s premise. Interestingly, the former 90 Day Fiance couple have been mum on their relationship status for weeks. In fact, there’s new context to Ashley filing divorce. She refused this week (see below) to DTR because it affected her finances.

They may be hoping to cash in with TLC by keeping the status of their relationship under wraps. Plus, there’s the non-disclosure agreement with the production company. Perhaps both the network and the former couple intentionally kept Ashley filing divorce secret in order to keep milking the 90 Day Fiance cash cow.

Ashley, Jay, and TLC Busted?

As Natalie Crawford revealed to Auntie’s Advice, both TLC and the former couple are no strangers to contriving fake drama and shooting staged scenes for ratings. This confirmed divorce filing officially trumps the notion that the couple end up happily ever after.

90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After starts this Spring. This reveal begs the question of whether TLC will still feature Jay Smith and Ashley Martson. Given that the viewing public knows now that they split, can they get away with presenting them as a relationship success story?
